Annie Merrill: I wish I had read these slower but I was hooked after Bocas and tore through all three. They are fun - full of adventure, surf, friendship, sex, beautiful places, and coffee...my favorite things. The protagonist George is kind, brave, and carries himself lightly through his travails. I hope the author writes more, I enjoy his humor and his style.

hbsurfer: I’m always on the search for new books and this trilogy by Thomas Barron was a great find. Bocas and Bronte were excellent - I’m now on to Bolinas. Travel, surf, self discovery, adventure are all themes I’m drawn to and this series hits all of them. I also appreciate reading about places where I’ve been or lived. Bolinas is a break I surf from time to time and Barron captures the essence of this unique surf town.

Devin: Where do I even start... I guess with the fact that I have a new author to add to my favorites list. This book is so good, right up my ally. Travel, the ocean, sex, drugs, love, adventure. A little bit of everything. I just finished the second book Bronte & it was just as good, just makes me excited to get Bolinas, but sad that it’s almost over. I wasn’t sure which book to write the review for since I loved them both, but I figured if you have started the trilogy the other two won’t need the reviews to get you to buy them. Read this book. You’ll love it.

Colette Greene: I really enjoyed this book. The first-person narrative was a bit tough to follow for the first few pages, then the flow really clicked from there. Through the voice of the main character, George, the story presents a mix of hilarity, suspense, tragedy and resilience. Notably, I found myself laughing out loud several times while reading it on my daily BART commute (which drew some strange looks from my fellow passengers). I was bummed when the book came to an end -- I want to see where George’s life takes him next -- and I miss PJ's accent. I look forward to additional works from this author.
