MRAguru: Gets the job done, and price is good. It feels a little cheap bc it’s so light, and upon opening I was already hearing a loose piece rattling inside the calculator. I will use it until it either breaks or I need a more advanced one, but I honestly would not buy it again. I just wanted something cheap for school.

PharmD2B: I received exactly what I ordered. I tested it right out of the box, and it works great (just like it should). Yes, it was used and had initials engraved on the back. I don't mind it because that gets covered up when you have the cover sitting on the back of the calculator. The face of the calculator and the rest of it didn't have any marks or scratches. The best thing about the purchase is the seller included contact info just in case there was any issue with the product. I haven't had to contact them, yet.

Biopsyche:
The TI-30Xa Solar is the most useful, directly and intuitively useful calculator that I have ever used from Texas Instruments. As a 'klutz' for complex procedures with calculators, I need a calculating device that will give me the answers I need without much recourse to the (quite loseable) instruction pamphlet. This calculator will provide you the right answers in a way no more complex than a basic understanding of (American) high school math would instruct.
I like the fact that the 'Solar' has a larger decimal-place than the battery operated TI-30Xa. As a person with far-sightedness, I need that decimal to be big enough to stand out when I need to copy down the answer. The battery-model has a really tiny decimal place which with my presbyopia is too too too much to see, one needs a magnifier to find out whether one has 236 or .236...Not so with the big decimal on the Solar model.
