Vannizzle: Great calculator. Im not a fan of the pink color though, but it works well for what I need it for.
P.S. to the person who write the review for the blue calculator saying the calculator is inaccurate, and also to the 30 people who found it useful… ehmm how do I say this, you guys need to retake your algebra class! The answer to that equation IS in fact 1!!! Not 64. Lol 😂😂😅🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

hoyabird8: Im a 35 year old guy when I write this review. I've been using essentially this same calculator since I was in grade school. Back then, this thing was pretty high tech, now not so much.
But, hi-tech isn't why I bought this thing. When I'm in my shop or planning a project, I want a simple tool that can do fast calculation in an intuitive way. Fractions, simple trig, logs and the like. The old calculators in this family did it brilliantly. Input was lightening fast and intuitive. Now you have to hit (at least) three times as many buttons to navigate a fairly unintuitive interface, with lots of shift keys and other stuff. The upside is you get a slightly prettier display. But honestly, I don't want or need a prettier display, I want a straightforward simple tool that gets the job done in an non-cumbersome way.
Do yourself a favor, buy the cheap Chinese knock-off of the old version of this calculator. It costs about $7 and gets the job done. If you are a student, still get the old one, you'll be quicker on tests and quizzes and the older interface make you think, just a bit, about good input and method. Newer isn't always better.

Josh T: What can I say? The screen is nice and clear, and there's plenty of room for calculation, but some of the functions are unintuitive. I enjoy some of the features, but many things are just slightly off. Take the scientific notation button for instance. You can manually type in your scientific notation multiplier, or you can use the button that essentially types "x10^(blank)", but strangely the factor isn't superscripted when typed. Instead, it sits right next to the "x10", like "x109" instead of x10^9". You can get used to this but its just a strange decision.
Also, if you're used to the more tactile buttons on a TI calculator, the buttons here are absolutely mushy with very little feedback. If I'm not carefully watching the screen while typing I have to doubt whether or not it accepted all of my input, and sometimes will have to redo my work to figure out which digit wasn't typed in a multi-stage calculation. This issue even worse when typing under time pressure.
Much of what's written in the menus are shortened unnecessarily which leads to a lot of guessing and prodding. There is enough screen real estate for full text or close to it... so why use only 3 characters...

minimalist: I love this calculator because it has just the neccessary functions for all math courses, without the complexity of multi teir menus or excessive button levels. It's not a graphing calculator, but you can do that far better -and easier- with apps: I don't understand schools that require them on a calculator(so behind the technology). I hate calculators so overloaded with functions stuffed into multiple levels of buttons or menus thst tbey become too complex and slow to use. The Casio fx 300 series of calculators have destilled the most important -most useful- functions into the simplest to use calculator. I've used expensive HP and TI calculators, but my $6 fx 300mx is far faster and easier to use. The $14 fx 300es plus is now my current fav, because it can do logarithms for any base, and has optional (you can choose to use it or not) text book math expression entering capability; perfect for complex expressions.
