Amazon Customer: The keys might feel hard to press but they give feedback, tactile feel this helps is recognizing the keys are pressed but in the BA II Plus the keys are flimsy and don't give feedback when pressed.
And faster processing too.

Mansi: Worth it

Kunal JaiswalKunal Jaiswal: The product quality is good but the keys are quite hard to press. You'll get frustrated using it during mock exams where time constraint prevails. You will not be able to use it comfortably unless you developed a habit for it.

Mayank BhargavaMayank Bhargava: I recently purchased this calculator for my CFA preparations. Like many other candidates, I too was confused whether to buy the Non-PRO version or PRO one. But then I eventually purchased this PRO version owing to its additional features and looks.

I know there is a huge price difference between non-Pro and Pro version, but considering that I eventually would have to use the additional functions in Level 3, so why not get familiar with and get used to the Pro version from the very beginning.

Now let me clarify a few common queries:-

1.BUTTONS: Many people complaint that the PRO version has hard keys. Well not exactly. The keys have a tactile feedback, but they are in no way hard. I am sure these are designed in this way to let the user actually know whether he/she has pressed a particular button or not. This comes really handy when you need to solve a complex problem which involves use of multiple brackets. Because of it being a single line display the brackets don't appear on the screen, so you have to remember it.And for that you have to be dead sure that you have opened and closed each bracket, otherwise it would result in an error. Hence the tactile buttons...

G. Farnsworth: I own both this and the regular BA 2 plus. They have the same functionality but the build quality on this model is much better in every respect in which they differ. Both models share the same weaknesses, though.

Strengths:

* Allowed on the CFA exam and in many finance classes. This is the real reason for its use

* Has most finance-related functions you would need reasonably handily available

* An alternative to the ubiquitous HP 12C

* Has both chain and algebraic mode. Chain mode calculates everything up to now immediately, so 2+3*5 = 25. It also has algebraic mode, which would give you 2+3*5=17. Some people like one way and some like another. I'm glad they provided both. Personally I use algebraic mode but you have to get used to it.

Weaknesses:

* The biggest weakness in both this and the regular BA 2 plus is their decision about key presses. You CANNOT press a key until you have completely released the previous key or it will not register. This leads to big problems if you are typing fast on it. You really have to use the same finger for all keys you press or some of your key presses will not register. You may think this is a...

Sai Ke: Professional, useful product!
Last semester, I bought the Texas Instruments BA II Plus Professional Financial Calculator for my finance exam. I can handle both math and various financial problems by using the calculator. The financial Calculator can save much time to make short work of complex equations and easily to learn how to use all its function. It should handle modified internal rate of return, modified duration, net future value and pay back. And it has a nice “firm-touch” keypad. I have used the financial calculator almost one year, and I got the prefect grade in my finance exam by using it. When I use the financial calculator, I needn’t to use the financial formula sheet or spend a long time to think about how to find the each part of formula. Because the brushed metal face has a polished metal inset to highlight the primary financial function buttons.
Advantage
• The Professional Financial Calculator has a very attractive appearance, it has a solid feel that is consistent with its metal look. And it comes with a black protective case.
• It can approved for Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and a quickly speed of calculation, for example, a complex...

Andy F: I've had experience with the standard BA-II Plus, the HP 12c, and this, the BA-II Plus Professional. Compared to the standard BA-II Plus, this one has a few extra functions which would have been useful if I had had this calculator during my college finance classes, but which now I don't have much use for at work. More than that though, the buttons on this version are far superior to the BA-II Plus. I found the buttons on that calculator far too soft, whereas this has a satisfying click that can be both felt and heard when a button pressed, much like the 12c does. I have notices that if buttons are pressed to quickly/lightly, they may not register, so I would just caution you to watch as you type, or to type slightly more deliberately if you notice a problem.

I also prefer this calculator to the HP 12c I have at work, although I do have far more experience using TI calculators, so I may be biased towards their interface already. That being said, while the RPN on the 12c is very useful for nesting several operations, the chain operations on the BA-II in combination with () buttons work just as well. However, I try to avoid nesting function after function on a calculator with...
