Nick Ambio: I bought two of these for my 125 gal tank and they work great. Water is always clear and they aren’t too loud. I’ve had them for a year now and they’re still kicking. Every once in a while one will randomly get a little loud but cleaning the little magnetic propellor usually solves that problem. Occasionally when the water gets low they will be much louder too but that’s always an easy fix.

Amazon Customer: Do not buy this! It is cheaply made and makes a lot of noise and mine does not even turn back on half the time when it is unplugged to do a water change! I have been back and forth with Tetra over this cheap 30$ filter and have gotten no where. They expect the product to be mailed back for insepction before replacing, um what am I supposed to use in my tank while they do there inspection, go buy a whole new filter while they figure it out then get this one back and have 2. Probably should have a back up anyway but what a hassle and a terrible warranty procedure. The company should be doing what Amazon does and mail you a new product and give you so much time to return the old one or be charged for it upon not returning the failed product. I do not recomend this filter and the customer service is terrible. I would give 0 stars if it was an option. And also they should be covering the shipping cost! I will just buy a new one that is a better brand and never give Tetra mu business again, I would stick woth Hygger or Aqueon! Way better products!

Sandra Ayala: El filtro funciona bien, tiene gran capacidad para material filtrante y una buena potencia (no es ajustable, pero no necesito que lo sea), pero no es silencioso.
Tengo otros filtros Tetra y un Tida que no hacen ningún ruido en absoluto, este tiene un motor escandaloso.
Lo leí en algunos comentarios y creí que era porque habían hecho una mala instalación, pero ya comprobé que tenían razón. Trataré de devolverlo y actualizaré mi comentario.

Amanda shantz: It's a strong pump but I was the dummy that didn't see the size and it was way too powerful for my little tank. There's no adjustment of waterfowl and I missed the return window. So I ordered a different one that is small enough for my tank and I guess I'll keep this one on the side until a friend needs one or I get something bigger

Amy: We've only been using it for about a month and it's done a great job keeping our turtle tank clean! We have a 75 gallon tank, not filled to the rim so probably close to 70 gallons of water though. You hear tge water going into the tank but I don't mind it, if the water level gets too low the sound gets louder, good reminder to add new water. So far it's great for keeping the water clear, I think great value for the money spent as long as it keeps working. I will say that the tube doesn't stay together well enough for in a turtle tank though, probably fine for fish but my turtle likes to try to get behind it or play with it and it falls off. Buy it doesn't seem to effect the function of the filter which is great.

JMJM: The media could not be loaded.  Me gustó el precio, su material, el plástico es fuerte, el consumo de energia.
No me gusto, que no tiene regulador de flujo.
Lo compre en 252.40 pesos mexicanos el 14 de nov de 2020, por amazon prime.
En sus características indica erróneamente las médicas de este, ya qué indica: de largo 15.39 cms., ancho 14.12 cms., y profundidad 23.34 cms. Y sus medidas exactas son: largo 14.56 cms, ancho 13.8 cms y profundidad 27 cms desde la salida del agua.
Busque en la página de Amazon y nunca encontré cuanto consume de energia, consume 4.8 watts sin saturar y saturado 5 watts, el largo del cable de alimentación es de 1.70 cms.
No hace mucho ruido si lo limpias siguiendo las instrucciones para sacar la propela del manual.
Me funcionó bien con un acuario de 52 litros pues el flujo no es muy fuerte, dimensiones de mi acuario 50 largo 26 ancho y 40 de alto, todos centímetros.
Lo compré en 252.40 pesos mexicanos y era el más económica en ese momento por amazon Prime de México.

Amazon Customer: We used a "M..." brand for 4-5 years--it was always a problem, breaking down, needing to be reset, and very very noisy. Over that time I got three, but each failed. It made having a fish tank a BIG constant chore. I din't know how the fish could stand the grinding noise from the mechanism, as it certainly bothered us.
Finally bought the "Whisper EX20" and what a blessing from the start, and lasting.
I don't write reviews, but I wanted to support this company and product as it has made areal difference in our lives, as with two kids and dog and being a single parent--we are busy enough as it is.
It is QUIET, very quiet as I only slightly hear the water(fall) trickling. The tank is really clean (for once), and stays that way for long periods. And the filter is very easy to remove, clean and replace. I just spray it with the lawn hose to clean it.
I read some review about the thin construction and hatch to the filter--my experience is that overall it works well, doesn't need to be any stronger as it functions sas needed. And, that may have helped keep the price down, which I appreciated.
I definitely recommend this product.

Lee W.: I really wanted to give this product a five star rating. The price is so much better than my local Wal-Mart and pet stores($21.99 vs. 32.98). I loved it, my 10 year old pleco really loved it for the past month. We had a power outrage and to be on the safe side I unplugged it until the power came back. When I plugged it back after making sure water was still in it in, it started making some low noises and then finally a very loud noise, with no water moving. We followed the trouble shooting directions but nothing helped. I had to run out and buy another filter, thus losing any savings. Now I have this filter not working PLUS the box of refill bags I bought. I'm so disappointed.

This is the reason why I have been using Tetra for as long as I've had fish(over 30 years). They will stand behind their product. Though I originally gave this a two star I changed it to four because I think that normally my other Tetra products worked fine, and though this one filter was defective it did work well as first, and the company when they found out my recent purchase was defective, contacted me and arranged to send me a replacement. Charles: The media could not be loaded.  I purchased 2 of the Whisper EX30 units for my 33 gallon long tank. Both work flawlessly and quietly. I even took a short video of them. Finally the air circulation system in the building shut off so I could tape this (Very rare, building owner doesn't like people suffocating in the building and dying I guess), both of these units run quietly enough together that the little bubbler is louder then them. The video is filmed in dead silence in the middle of the night. TV easily drowns these out. They do make a little hum, not a big deal, they all hum a little. These truly are whispers, if yours isn't, talk to someone about it and get it replaced, you have a defective unit. Neither has given me any trouble, both work the same and are very reliable. You can also see the water is crystal clear, my water is never any worse then it is in the video, even right before a bi-monthly water change.

Only thing that bothered me, not enough to take away a star, was it is a little snug on the tank, good in some cases, I just like a bit of play because down the road if they ever do start vibrating or such, I could put a thin foam pad between them and the...
