Doug: This tubing is as described in the product description i.e. flexible, smooth on the inside etc. However, it seems to be marginally smaller than 1 inch in the internal measurement. I was able to insert a 1 inch connector by tapering the male end of the connector slightly and using a heat gun to soften the tubing.

Scootdog: After a year of so of use one piece that was buried and part of a pressurized pond filtration system sprung a leak. Another piece which was used as the clean out drain hose which I would move around broke at the connector. Also, it’s easily crushable so requires being buried in a conduit. Perhaps this was the wrong hose for my use case. I expected a better quality for the price.

Amazon Anonymous: I purchased a couple of these for my pond pump / filter / water fall connection. I purchased another when I need to drain the pond or attach it to a vac for cleaning. The flex hose is far more convenience than hard plumbing. The flex hose allows me to move it around any rock or landscaping with ease. Also most importantly it is s easy to winterize the pump / filter at end of the season. Also the cost is great. These are really not that expensive and alternatives at other pond supply stores are as much as $2/T which is almost 4X the cost. Durability so far has been great.

Piano doglady: I find this hose is working well with my pond filter, but at first it was very hard to make the output hose go where I wanted it to, mainly just back into the pond. It just wanted to curl up on the ground next to the filter but I tied it to a board across the pond. Now that it has been working for a few weeks, it probably will do what I want it to. I also found it hard to cut to the lengths I needed.

Stryker: I actually returned these, but not because they were low quality. Here’s why, I needed something with a little bit of flex to it so I could install over the barbed nipples I was using. These have a helical wire running the length of this, which makes it hold its shape, flexible and very strong/durable but it’s hard to stretch to fit over a nipple. I ended up buying some clear poly hose for my project (indoors). If you need to bury your lines, if it is going to be walked on or over, definitely buy this product as it will not collapse or otherwise fail in such an environment.

Melissa Flieg: I bought the 1" ID version to connect to a 1100 gph Seaflo bilge pump to use as a raw water wash down system I was making for my boat (pump mounted to a trim tab). I had trouble finding one that I thought would be flexible (not stiff plastic) and durable enough . . . and at a reasonable price. I wasn't sure when I ordered this one, but it turned out to be a very good choice.
I was worried that this might be like a smaller version of the blow-molded, corrugated gutter drain pipe you see at the home stores. It is not. It is a rubbery-like material with decent wall thickness between ribs. It is nearly smooth on the inside; you can barely feel where the ribs are. I is easy to wrap into 12" diameter roll or smaller for storage and can be bent quite easily almost back onto itself without kinking (at least at 70 degrees F). I wouldn't recommend stepping on it, but I think it would survive if you gave it a few minutes to recover its shape (I probably have stepped on it). Hardest part for my application was getting the end to fit over the 1-1/8" pump outlet. It was quite hard to get the end to stretch enough to fit.
