But it does work very well no complaints there

Tim J. Bias: The first few times I used it I had to take the pump out of the gas and take the tip off and spin the blade. Then when I used it a bunch of times one day it works every time. I love it.!

wmk: I only used it once to fill my truck and I love the fact that I don't have to fight with holding a heavy 25L fuel can which would often result in spills. I put in 4aa batteries and empty two 25L fuel cans in 4 minutes. The time included moving the pump to the other fuel can. So transferring 50L of fuel in 4 minutes is a great thing. If anything goes wrong with the pump then I will update my review. I plan on using this for my snowblower, vehicles, and generator. No more messy spills!

Gregory Shaw: This, for me is an essential back saver. It has been great until a few months ago when it did not work consistently. New batteries- done. Spin the impeller - done. Clean contacts - done. Still was taking many tries to work and randomly cutting out. I give up and have just over ordered a replacement. Should have lasted much longer.

C Davie: We live off grid and for years we have lifted heavy jerry cans of gasoline to pour into our generator which is back breaking. With this pump no more pain just use one of the 3 different size adapters supplied to screw onto the jerry can, insert the suction hose and screw the pump onto the adapter. Put the fill hose into the gas tank and press the on button to start filling. At the end of the fill nozzle there's a sensor which will shut off the pump when the gas level reaches your desired level in the tank like at the gas station. There are 2 clips at the end of the fill nozzle depending on the depth you need to attach to the tank you are filling so the process becomes automatic. After the pump shuts off lift the hose and drain back any fuel left in the hose into the jerry can and put the nozzle in the slot in the pump housing provided. This is a game changer for our homestead, we will use it to fill our other gas equipment such as our sawmill that is hard to fill with a jerry can. Great value 👍

SoloOffGrid: I am currently running my trailer on generators 24/7, so I use a lot of gas during the week. I've tried many different "spill proof" gas cans and every single one of them spills - some more than others. The worst perpetrator is one where on really cold days, the nozzle won't even open. I have to hit it with a hammer to get the "spill prevention" mechanism to open - and of course, that make a HUGE mess.
This transfer pump currently sits on top of that gas can and it is awesome now!
It doesn't matter if the weather is freezing, this transfer pump still fills the tank. I like the auto-stop, though I tend to not use it much because I want my tanks all the way full. I suppose if I needed to step away, the auto-stop would be pretty handy.
When I hit the Off button, it does a pretty good job of sucking the gas remaining in the tube back into the can (except for the last little bit). But most of all, I'm not trying to balance a 5-gallon can over my generator and having it slip around and pour everywhere. Also, the adapters fit all of my various poly gas cans.
The one "con" I have is that it needs replaceable batteries. It would have been nice if it came with a...

A. Ferris: I previously had the kind that that is handheld & doesn't screw onto the gas can, which only lasted for 2 mowing seasons til it died. I should mention that it was a different brand. It was better than holding a 5 gallon gas can up in the air & trying to balance it without spilling fuel all over my zero turn, but if I was young & strong with no back problems I wouldn't have bothered with it. This unit solves everything! It stays screwed onto the can that I'm using, so I don't have the old problem of residual fuel inside of the suction rod that would leak out all over my hands when I pulled it out of the tank after filling, I don't have to find a spot to sit it after use when it's wet & I don't want grass & dirt to stick to it or sit it somewhere that I don't want fuel on and the best part is that this clips onto the edge of the fill spout of the tank you're filling whether that's a mower, car, motorcycle, snow blower, pressure washer, etc and it has an automatic shut off mechanism so I don't have to stand there & babysit it. Just put the hose in & clip it to the fill valve, press the "on" button & do something else in the vicinity of it. Instructions...

Elk Chaser: I used this pump and really liked it BUT after the 4th time it quit. I was very frustrated and thought that I threw away $60.00 on another product that doesn't work. I tried a couple of things like putting new batteries in it and it didn't work. That's about the extent of my mechanical skills. This morning I got a brilliant idea. Why not call the manufacturer. I explained the problem and he told me to do this.
1. Put new batteries in it.
2. Press and hold down the ON button.
3. While holding the ON button down use a small screwdriver or small pointed(or blunt) object and turn the impeller which is located at the very bottom of the feed tube. I did as he told me and it started right up. The impeller had simply bound up against something on the inside of the housing.
So that is "One way to get it pumping after a malfunction." I know there could be other things that could go wrong but I do believe that this malfunction is right at the top of the list.
The support person that I spoke with was very nice and seemed to know right away what the problem
was.
When all else fails, read the manual.
If that doesn't help, call the manufacturer.
