Skywalker: Works well, but the battery contacts got recessed and doesn't work anymore. Just over a year of use. That makes it very expensive. Better parts and design would fix this but .......

Ann Mayes: I got one of these as a gift and ran over it with my mower. I went back to Amazon and ordered one that was a lot cheaper and looked just the same. It didn't pump half the time, or pumped very slowly. I went back to the person who gifted me the original to find the exact pump I had originally and this was it. Very satisfied and happy to have it back.

Chris LWChris LW: I used to have to lift up the heavy container and rely on gravity to transfer the fuel, but this makes it much easier for me to transfer the fuel. Flip the switch and the fuel automatic flows into the gas tank. Unlike other pumps on Amazon this uses AA batteries, so the unit is more compact. Don't know about it's longevity since I've only used it once, but so far I like it.

Amazon Customer: This is my third fuel pump. The first had a sensor at the end of the fill tube to stop overfilling. The sensor stopped working which stop the pump from filling. To fix the pump and keep it running just cut the wire and strip then twist all three wires together, then the pump will run again. The Tera pump uses 2AA batteries and I prefer over D or C cell battery pumps. I also have an extra Tera pump for water use. If you have ever tried to poor from a five-gallon or even a smaller fuel container of gasoline to your car, tractor, generator, and not spill or overfill and not yell out expletives, you must a miracle worker. As to how long it takes to empty a five-gallon container depends if you are filling from the ground up or at an equal or higher position than what you are filling. It does take 2 plus to 4 plus minute to pump five-gallons and this is approximate times. How much do I use this pump? Once each week. How long do the batteries last it depends on the condition of the batteries. What I have noticed is not all 2AA's last as long as others and rechargeables seem to last about the same, so I can't say if I use more batteries. I don't care it works and I always carry four...

Al_R: After using a similar kerosene pump that I've bought almost 10 years ago that I've been using for fish tank water changes, etc...., it started acting up and I was looking to replace it. After browsing, I noticed that this one had a better flow rate, which peaked my curiosity because I know it takes a little while to refill the fish tank with my old one. Reviews looked good and I decided to give it a shot, and I am very pleased with the decision. It is actually about 1.5 times faster than the old one, which seems to make it not so burdensome to do water changes often. I am writing the review now after a long time of owning it because I just purchased another one today because I needed to transfer gasoline from some 5 gallon cans that I had filled up due to hurricane prep, but ended up not needed the gas, so I used the one that I've been using for the fish tank for the gasoline, and then bought a new one today to replace it, so that I have one for each purposes, since I don't want to mix uses.
