Got this chain clamp while completing a full timing belt service on my 1999 Honda Accord LX Coupe (2.3L VTEC YO!), which involved replacing the cam and crank seals. This tool worked perfectly for this application; it was an excellent, inexpensive option, and I have ZERO complaints. I'm also glad I decided to get this tool because I REALLY needed to replace that cam seal!

Came unexpectedly quick. Haven't really given it a hard test, but with the lifetime replacement warranty, I should be OK. If chain slips on hard steel objects, including filters, place thin rubber under the chain for better traction.
Objects can be 5.75" dia. with the 18.5" chain.

The Tekton chain vise grip is guaranteed for life, and at this price is the cheapest on the market. For those unfamiliar with this item, it's basically a clamp or vise that works on the principal of tensioning the attached motorcycle type chain around an object, then feeding it to the attached pegs and trough on the handle. The handles operate like a regular vise grip or locking pliers, with the adjustment screw and release handle. The handy thing about this is the chain forms itself around unusually shaped or round objects. (such as a tree limb or pipe)
This is a staple on many film sets and I am surprised it is not more well known in "regular" industries...
