James Stringfellow: I have been using these clamps to hold false deck framing together as I tack it. They are easy to use and have a strong grip and lock. I have been hard on these clamps and they are holding up nicely. They have become slightly misshapen where the flat meets the plier portion but are still functional.

Clemuel.: This Taiwanese version will do if you can't find a real one on ebay. Unfortunately the quality has slipped along with American jobs. Shame on a company that touts its American heritage on the box to farm out the manufacturing to the Third World.
The jaws are arched, so they don't meet in the middle unless lots of clamping force is used. This makes for a sloppy bend if you are using these on sheet metal. WTF? Can't they get this right? Do the slaves making this stuff even know what it is?
Better than most, but not the best. Find an older American pair, and ditch this manufacturer who sold out our bothers.

just a little old blues man: I had to bend some baseboard covers for a heating system and didn't want it to look unprofessional.

Patrick Hoskin: The vice grip handle and mechanism are great, the issue is that the two flat bars for the tips are rounded / bent. So to make a flat seam you have to crank them real tight. When you do this it makes 4 dents in the material where the corners of the flat bars are. Not impressed.

was moved to Asia.I always needed a pair of sheet metal pliers so finally got these.They are great for
their intended purpose and also useful for holding the ends of guitar sides when using a bending iron.
The quality of the tool I received was just fine.A touch rougher than the old version but not as bad as
other reviewers noted.
