Mystery_Shopper: Lost my pervious my 15mm socket in a vehicle while working on, no chose but to buy a new one. Most common sizes i use. Recommend the socket, socket is durable and impact rated. Used it many times now and has held up. Easy to read the size on the socket. Would recommend.

John Smith: I'm going to be changing CV boots on my GX470 and like most people I didn't have a socket this size. I do have a million tools already and work on cars, but until now none have used an axel nut this bit. The options were spend $50 on a Harbor Freight set and get pieces I don't need, buy this, or rent from Autozone or whatever. Considering the cost of getting and returning tools to the parts place, and then possibly having to renew the rental, spending $9 on this having it on hand made the most sense. The socket itself is solid and certainly sturdy enough to do the job. For what it cost it's hard to find fault with. It is NOT a thin walled socket by any means, though I doubt that matters too much if you are doing axel nuts with it. For something in a tight space you might want to look elsewhere.

Ralph Wentworth: I just started using these a couple of years ago. I like this brand becuase its alot cheaper and yet the sockets are very durable and fit well on the fittings. I never broke one yet. Most of the sockets they sell are marked on the outside and that makes it handy to find when changing sockets. I have been working on cars and engines for about 45 years. I tend to laugh at what is invented now days. It makes life so much easier when working on engines and such. Big labels on the outside of the socket.. and then there are special sockets that fit over long studs. Years ago one just had to grin and bare it.. as your knuckles got skinned up. Nowdays they use gloves and have to have this and that.. For a good basic socket that is well made and is accurate in its fit this is the socket for you. If you want challenges buy some of those harbor freight sockets. They dont fit well and have alot of play when trying to turn the fittings. These sockets are very durable and long lasting. I will probaly lose it or misplace it before it breaks if ever. Some of my tools get lost in the inner fenders of cars and i cant find them and then when driving one hears a clunk and it makes me say.. that must...

Rescue dog mom: Perfect Fit Nice Finish Rock Strong, I had bought a budget priced socket as I figured I'd only use this once or twice in a lifetime for my daughters Honda Accord Axles nuts, the other socket was supposed to be 36mm but after putting it on the axles the slop was huge, I measured it at 36.9+mm, not something you want to use to break 250-300 fl-lbs of static torque.
I immediately ordered the Tekton socket, I have purchased alot of Tekton tools, 3 torque wrenches, numerous extensions, various wrench sets, accessories and on and on and all are perfect. I was waiting outside for the UPS guy to come and put this on the axles nut and it fit perfect, no slop. Used a 1000 ft-lb impact gun to take off those pesky axles nuts that I could not get off after spraying with PB blaster for 3 days, heated up with MAP gas for 15 mins and then even tried a 2 foot breaker bar with a 2 foot long pipe on t, no budge. This socket ate up the torques of my impact and the stuck axle nut with no problems. Had both nuts off in less than 40 seconds.
Never again will I care about a few dollars even if I use a tool just once, will stick with Tekton forever.

Joe Nice: I bought this socket to remove the wheel bearing nut in order to change the CV axle on my grand daughter's 2002 VW Beetle. I have been told they were very tight and sometimes hard to remove. The pre torque spec to tighten the new nut was 220 ft-lbs. I knew I needed a heavy duty socket to take the torque stress.
When the socket arrived I was pleased to see that it was a very heavy duty 6 point socket. When I started the job I was not pleased to see that VW used a 12 point wheel bearing nut so the 6 point socket wouldn't work. However, the replacement nut that came with new CV joint was a 6 point. I rounded up a 12 point socket to remove the nut. It wasn't as hard to remove as I thought it would be. I used this socket to preload the wheel bearing to 220 foot pounds. It is so heavy duty that I wasn't the least bit worried that it would crack. I used a 23 inch breaker bar and it did the job.
I am saving this tool for when my grand daughter needs the other side replaced. I would not hesitate to buy another Tekton tool. It is very well made
