I do like the scanner for the most part, but I will say it takes some getting used to and I never fully trust it. I do everything with insurance. Let me explain. As I mentioned before, I purchased this for inventory purposes, so I am required to be away from my computer in the warehouse. My first time using the scanner I noticed a green light and a blue light. Being accustomed to green meaning good I thought this meant the item I was scanning was being properly accounted for back at my computer and if it scanned blue, something was wrong. However, this was not the case. When it dinged the normal high pitch and showed a blue light, that meant it went through, but if the ding was a pitch lower and the green light flashed then that item was “stored” in some kind of cloud. I learned later on that in order to account for this item I would need to simply point the scanner in the air, click the trigger, and the blue light would flash and I would hear the proper ding and the item was accounted for. At the end of my first inventory, upon keying it into my system I noticed my...

Jake: I didn't expect much for the price, under $50.
I am impressed.
We just needed some basic wireless barcode readers, so I read the reviews and took a chance on this one.
It came complete with charger, USB Cable, and wireless dongle.
The windows software immediately loaded the appropriate driver when the dongle was plugged in.
The instruction sheet includes directions on enabling various barcode types. It also contains barcodes that allow it to be programmed to add a newline or tab after the scan. We needed the tab, so set that up. It then was immediately put to use and works perfectly.
Once triggered, it will scan until it finds the code or times out.
This fits the need perfectly and we will order more.

Tomk: It works out of the box, at least for me. Easy set up too. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Scan a few bar codes in the setup manual and it should work no problem. Otherwise it's a pain to figure out. It's basically the manual that can be complicated.
TIPS: Open notepad in Microsoft Windows and scan a bar code, the numbers should show up. If not, got back to the paper manual and scan the necessary 2-3 barcodes in the quick setup manual and that should do the trick.
SCAN 1: Enter setup (barcode under Common Functions barcodes)
SCAN 2: Enable Code Bar (function setup barcodes area)
SCAN 3: Exit with Save (barcode under Common Functions barcodes)
DONE!
This is definitely an easier setup than the other scanners out there, like on Ebay.

Scott Marcy: This scanner works quite well, although there is sometimes a multi-second lag between the time something is scanned and the time it gets received by the computer (at least when used wirelessly). This is nothing that isn't manageable for light-duty use, especially given the very competitive pricing.
The biggest concern I have with this is scanner is that it seems to draw excessive power over USB. When plugged into my MacBook Pro for just a few seconds the cable got very hot where it connects to the scanner and the unit started to smell like it's burning. (I only did this once, and the unit seems to still work fine, but I only use the provided power adapter to charge this now, and always scan wirelessly.) My Mac also warned me that the device was drawing too much power, so it might have shut off power and that's what saved it from being fried, but I don't trust it connected via USB to a modern computer with high-current USB ports.
UPDATE:
Shortly after writing this review, I was contacted by TEEMI who very kindly offered to send me a new scanner to address the issue with my old one. Top rating for customer service! The new unit does not have the same issue with USB,...
