Aishwary Kumar Tiwari: Fredrick writes about emotions you do not feel or know as a child. Sometimes not until you’ve become a parent. Not only this will make you feel differently for your parents but towards your wife, friends, favourite band and car and everything you have or will love.

Carol S.: I have read every Bachman book there is out there. I love how he writes - especially his novels. I loved his Beartown series, of course A Man Called Ove, and his series on "granny" and family. I was glad to learn more about Britt Marie. I highly recommend reading his books.

Platte River Girl: Advice is humorous, and I agree in many ways with the author's common sense. I bought a copy for my 2 sons to enjoy.

Harsh: There are few books which will not let you sleep till you finish it, this is one of those. I have always loved the writing style of Fredrik Backman, its simple and honest. The best part is that the book will make you laugh, and the references are so good, especially the stories about The Undertaker, football, IKEA, George Carlin.
If you have 2-3 hours to spare, grab the book, and just go on an adventure, because just like Loreal, he is worth it.

Ginger R Jackson: As a southerner that grew up reading (and laughing uncontrollably) Lewis Grizzard, I was delighted to find this book by Fredrik Backman. Although somethings didn't translate well, most did and I truly enjoyed his perception of how hard parenting is as well as how rewarding. Watched A Man called Ove first but this is my first of his books that I have read. I think this is the best place to start...Ove next and all the others . Bought this book for my son who is turning 42 this year. Fredrik's love of sports, video games and his family are familiar subjects of my own family. A delight and must read!

Amit.lakshya.verma: .@backmansk is my favourite author currently and I Just finished another great book by him.
.
1. He is funny and deeply realistic in his discription of events and moments.
He gets tight hold on a particular moment of time and then dissects layer by layer its happenings in most hilariously possible way.
He tries to be so absurd but still stays so relevant.
.
.
2. Book is about a dad trying to be perfect in fatherhood in which he fails partially on many occasions but still is not embarassed to accept he is trying to be a better father.
.
3. His explanation about wars, human stupidity, book avery, love and happiness are wonderfully balanced.
.
4. He loves football, movies and food and this is visible on every page. In between the chspters there are funny nuggets.
.
5. His relationship with his wife is so charming and deep and he leaves no inch in praising her for everything he has ever achieved.
Finally he describes personal trajedy in which his wife supports him like a lion.
.
.
A really good book in typical backman style. More you read him, greater fan you become.

The Write Edge: In his first nonfiction book, Fredrik Backman uses all of his literary skills while penning a book-length letter to his son. By combining humorous parenting anecdotes with memories of his life before becoming a parent, Backman blends days past and the present and future in his signature style. His whimsical writing in his novels touches readers’ hearts, and the effect is just as charming and heartfelt in his latest book Things My Son Needs to Know about the World.
“I want to apologize,” he begins the book, listing a variety of parenting blunders like “buying a minivan” and “wearing shorts.” Despite the young age of his son at the time of the book’s writing—barely a toddler and an only child then—Backman doesn’t hesitate to call the situation for what it is. He ends his introduction by saying, “I want you to remember that it was you who started it.”
From there Backman shares with his son his love for many things, including the British soccer team Manchester United, bacon (in all forms and quantities,) and his wife. He also doesn’t hesitate to get right into the middle of topics such as how other parents might view him and parenting as a...

Karen A. Greenberg: I have now read every book by this author, and this was the sweetest one. Backman has such a range of talent, and this one seems straight from the heart.
