Meyourz: Pretty good but a little overpriced. I usually get the wholefood brand but they were out, so I decided to try this brand. I do love their other frozen products which are normally fairly priced but this should've had a few more ounces for the price. Defrost in the microwave, stir it up in a pot with some precooked vegetables. My family loved it.

PeachieMom: There are a lot of instant rice products out there that are made with whole grain rice, but a lot of them also have oils and other fattening things added. This rice is just the rice, which is important to me with managing my eating. Occasionally, I get a few undercooked grains in the bag, but I suspect that has more to do with my microwave than the product. This rice is easy, fast and delicious, and it's great as a side dish for broiled fish, marinated meats, steamed vegetables, or just about anything. Thank you for an outstanding product!

Kindle Customer: This tastes exactly like brown rice. Depending on your palate, that might or might not be a good thing. I've been eating brown rice for long enough that they don't phase me. The rice was both firm and tender, exactly the way brown rice should be. I didn't think they'd be able to pull it off without it being a soggy mess, but they hit a home run.
I think brown rice is one of those grains that should be seasoned while being cooked. I usually cook mine down with some crushed garlic and olive oil, or with some coconut milk, for a wonderful flavor lift since it takes a lot for brown rice to not taste super bland. By doing that, the rice has subtle enough taste so it doesn't overpower anything I choose to pair it with but flavorful enough so that it can stand on its own if I'm eating it with something dry like fried chicken.
I really have no complaints. It's pretty impressive to be able to get properly cooked brown rice in under 4 minutes. At $1.69, it's even more impressive. Well done, Bird's Eye. Well done.
