I bought this for my husband's stocking. It is not returnable and we had to throw it away. I think the walnuts are rancid. It has no honey flavor and was quite hard. Terribly disappointing. Not at all anything I could recognize as Panforte. Also, did not honor that I bought in in November and there is a longer return date for items at Christmastime.

It's moister, less dense, and a bit figgier in flavor than any I've had. But, that said, it's quite good, as long as you can get over preconceived notions if you hold them.

I love panforte but this one was a very soft texture and it had a funny taste on your tongue and after taste. Maybe I got a bad batch. No walnuts unless they were very finely ground as was the fruit. You could taste the figs but not in a good way. It was not very sweet which I liked. I won't order again.
