Customer: This is NOT your average Pyrex pie plate. I made an apple pie in this dish, and it easily held 8 good-sized apples. My friend used it for a turkey pot pie -- it might be better for that kind of pie than dessert pies.

Holly: So far, I really love this dish. I actually bought it for my sister, but I’ve borrowed it because I like it better than any of my pie dishes. She loves it, and I love it. Now I want to buy one for myself! Haha, it does not look cheap at all and is very pretty. It’s a really great dish for everything from quiches and pies to cold desserts like banana pudding or even things like cranberry salsa of other dips. Major plus? It’s dishwasher AND microwave safe. It cleans us easily.
I bought ramekins from Sweese a couple of years ago, and they’ve held up and worked great. So I have high hopes that this product will continue to give and serve me as well. :)

elzdavis: Sweese really does a great job of making quality products at reasonable prices. I have a butter bell of theirs I love. The yellow was a lovely color, the dish solid, and the fluting was really nice, not over-fussy.
I ended up not keeping this, but not because there was anything wrong with it; I just prefer to use the Pyrex pie plates, especially since I don't do any deep dish kind of things. But if you're looking for a ceramic pie dish and don't want to dish out the $$$ for an Emile Henry (sorry, couldn't resist the pun), I definitely can recommend this.
