Amazon Customer: I think this is a pretty good book for violin. There's only one problem though. I can not play any of these pieces on my recorder. Every time I try to play these pieces on the recorder it is nothing but pain. But I can't help it, I want to become a recorder star, and get a bachelor's degree in recorder playing. But my private teacher and parents do not support my dreams. "You will become a failure if you chose recorder as a career path. You can't get a bachelor's degree in recorder playing" they say, but I know none of that's true. They've also told me I can't play the kazoo or the viola, or I will become the biggest disappointment in the world. They've even gotten to the point where they have banned me from playing these beautiful instruments. Little do they know I still busk on the streets with my recorder. I've been doing it for a month and so far I've earned 4 cents and a few dirty looks. I keep on trying but my recorder career just doesn't seem to be going anywhere. But besides all of that, this book is great for learning violin! :)
