zephyrzpe: I use it to make a cultured dairy product with lactobacilis reuteri or l-reuteri. It requires temperature of no higher than 100 degrees F for an extended time of 36 hours. I am pleased with the results.

VladislavVladislav: I haven’t made yogurt quite yet. I bought this to make Natto. I set the machine to 100F and 24 hours. The next day, perfect natto with white film all over the beans just as it’s supposed to look. After refrigerating another 24 hours, I have impressively slimy beans that smell like they are supposed to. These are signs that the fermentation happened just as it should.
What took a little thought was fermenting the amount of beans I need for a week. My recipe starts with 300g of dry beans before soaking &cooking. I really had to search for a heatproof glass loaf pan that is narrow enough to fit this yogurt maker. The beans filled the loaf pan 2 inches deep which is as deep as I’m willing to go for proper airflow and moisture exposure. I covered the beans with a cheesecloth folded over several times Bovado USA made the pan you see in my photo but I’m not sure it’s still available. 5.4inches X 10 inches is just right if you can find one.
This is all the information I wish I had when I was shopping so I hope this is helpful to you!
I can’t wait to try yogurt! :D

Joshua GoforthJoshua Goforth: Update 07/19/2023: OK, so I did further testing, and if you want to keep a constant temperature, you need to add water to the yogurt maker. During my testing with water in the bin, it ran about .9 degrees warmer than the displayed temperature. So, I am keeping the yogurt maker and adjusting the temperature appropriately. This device is much more cost-efficient if you start price-shopping other yogurt makers that allow for 36 hours and temperature adjustments. So, two stars to four stars.
Original review:
The setup and features work great. This yogurt maker is easy to use and easy to clean up when you are finished. I love the glass jars that come with it that can easily be stored in your fridge in individual serving sizes. The only problem, which makes it useless for me, is that the temperature control does not regulate the temperature accurately. Mine is about 10 degrees warmer than what I set it at. This is not good as it kills the bacteria above a specific temperature. I also checked the internal temperature of the yogurt, which read about 10 degrees warmer.

helen moore disappointed geek: I cannot give a valid review because my step down voltage converter cut out after one hour and then I fused the appliance and have no idea how it can be repaired as it is made in China.
I have cut the plug off and use it as a non electrical yoghurt maker in my oven at a very very low temperature.
It works well that way.

MayaMaya: I wasn't sure how my first attempt would turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised. I love that I can set both the temperature and the timer to exactly what I needed.
For those interested, I made a batch of 24-hours fermentation yogurt. I brought 4 cups of milk to 185F for 10 minutes, then I let it cool down to 100F. Once it reached 100F, I added the powder from one probiotics capsule, whisked it in, then poured into the jars. I placed the jars in the device, added 2 cups of warm water (around 95F), then I set the temperature to 100F and the timer to 24h. After 24h, it turned off, and I had my batches of yogurt. Very happy with the result.
If you are using a probiotics capsule like I did, make sure that it contains one of these strains, so it will actually make set yogurt instead of a probiotic drink: Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Streprococcus thermophilus, Bifidobacterium lactis or Lactobacillus acidophilus

Jayne Arrington: 2nd Edit: I have made a total of 4 batches. The timer was very uncooperative for the first 2 batches. I persisted and eventually got it set for the 36 hrs I needed. For the 3rd & 4th batches, the timer worked as it is supposed to. I have no idea what the future holds with this machine.
What I will say is that the sellers did send me a new machine and requested I not send the broken one back. Once they finally started communicating with me. They took care of the matter immediately. I would def buy other items from this seller.
1st Edit: 2nd Machine - After getting Amazon involved and sending several messages back and forth, the seller decided to send me another machine, which I am grateful for. I just made my first batch. The TIMER continually argued with me not allowing me to set it past 8 hrs. I persisted and eventually got it to set at 36 hrs which is what I need to process the type of yogurt I make. Let's see what happens with the TIMER in batch #2.
Original Review: TOTAL JUNK! Don't waste your money! I made about a dozen and 1/2 batches of yogurt over a 2.5 month period. Then the timer quit working past 8 hrs. I contacted the seller for help and for...

S. L. White: I made Dr. William Davis' l. reuteri yogurt the very first time with this machine. My yogurt turned out with an almost perfect consistency, and I am now experimenting with eating it -- and needing always to start slow since it is probably quite a powerful cultured dairy product. It has a mildly tangy but pleasant flavor. I used LR Superfood Starter from Cutting Edge Cultures.
Although I am delighted it turned out so well, actually not all of it did. One of the glass jars did have a completely watery consistency. I still haven't figured out why it was the errant one out of the five, but I also discovered it had a tiny crack right below the rim.
The glass jars indicate they are a half-pint, but they are not. They are closer to 6-7 ounces. This means, when making superfood yogurt with a quart of half and half, you will use five jars.
I do agree with the reviewers here who complained the little jars are too delicate. In fact, the manufacturer points out that they can't be sterilized.
If you try to fit a real half-pint Ball jar into this machine, it will not work. There is not enough clearance for the Suteck's cover to shut. So forget that, and find...

Paul M.Paul M.: Made yogurt for the first time and the flavor and texture are perfect. The good, so simple and quick. The bad, terrible directions and user manual. Looked online, no luck. Finally after 20 minutes of confusion and somewhat figured out how set the temperature and time. Did the basics: In a measuring bowl pour 1 litre of cold milk, then add 50 ml of yogurt, I used iogo vanilla flavor, and mix together. Pour the mixture in the bottles evenly. I added a bit more milk to the bottles as there was still room in the bottles. Put the filled bottles, minus the caps, in the yogurt maker basin. I poured warm water to 3/4 deep in the yogurt maker basin, turned the yogurt maker on setting the temperature to the default 108 but adjusted the time to 12 hours, and started it. I let it run overnight to be ready in the morning. Once done I added frozen fruit, a teaspoon worth, to the yogurt, put on the caps and put the bottles in the fridge for an hour. Yum yum so good. That is all I did.
I looked at many recipes on YouTube and nearly all called for heating the milk then cooling it before putting it in the bottles and turning on the yogurt maker. Never did that as the commercial milk is...
