Get your projects done quickly and easily with the Surebonder Ultra Series Auto Shut Off Hot Glue Gun.J. A. Canter: I’ve owned many glue guns and thought I researched well enough to find the perfect one. Unfortunately, this one is far from perfect. While the glue gun heats up quickly, the low temp setting isn’t even hot enough for delicate ribbons and fabric. Also, there isn’t an on/off switch, so if you’re using it and it goes into auto shut off mode you have to unplug and replug it back in for it to turn on again. It may sound trivial but it’s a royal pain in the tush when you’re in the midst of a project.

jay.lee: I ran this thing through my energy meter. High only topped out at only 25W, less than half of advertised. Low didn't push passed 7W.
It otherwise does it's job, but don't expect to be able to push loads of glue through it.
Update: I did some more tests and this does in fact reach 60W but only very briefly when turned on from cold. It rapidly drops down to a nominal wattage of 5-10% of the rated wattage to keep warm. Time from plug-in to usable glue is a few minutes. And when starting from cold there always seems to be some remnant harder glue that needs to be squeezed out first as the heating element doesn't heat the glue in the very tip as thoroughly

S. J. Smith: I'm a professional artist who uses hot glue in my fabrications. I've tried several different brands and this one is the best so far. It takes a little bit longer to heat up than some of the others but it delivers the glue smoothly and with great ease once it gets going. The only retraining I needed was to make sure I picked up and gave the trigger a gentle squeeze during the times when I was not using it just to make sure the auto shut-off had not cooled the glue and it would be ready for immediate use when I would want it. Easy to do once you remind yourself often enough. I especially like the trigger handle because it works with better precision than other triggers all of which tend to be a little harder to use if you want very small amounts of glue. I'm very happy with this tool and can recommend it highly.
I also got the smaller version made by Surebonder that uses the mini sticks and is partially cordless and it is fantastic!

Lars Hovgaard Jensen: Well, before ordering this unit, I carefully tried to read all the details from the package, in the hope that any product specifics would stick out, an for me, be able to make the right desicion, whether bying it or not... Apparently, this product is so badly described from the retail store, that I failed to know, that this unit is made for the 120 voltage market, and, furthermore, I had to guess , which size, the glue sticks it uses - and I guessed wrong...
This device is for the 120 voltage market (USA) and not for the European 230 voltage - I had to buy a transformer, which cost more than the device itself (kr. 250 dkk) - and now I have to buy another load of glue sticks, in the correct 11 mm diameter. Be very much aware of these specifications when deciding to buy or not - also, the retailer and the company should do more to inform people, writing the info on the package.

Julie: Passing from a dollar store glue gun to this, it's like heaven. Having an on/off switch is wonderful.

Douglas Portman: This item may be amazing! But i can not tell you that yet as I am unable to use it at this time! Buying from the Amazon UK site, i stupidly assumed it was from a UK seller, but although it arrived in a relatively short time I was rather annoyed it has a US 2 pin plug, and on the bottom of the handle says requires 120 V, neither of these facts are shown in the images or stated in the product description! I know need to buy a Converter to use this which will cost more than the item! I note a lot of items have no images of plugs, perhaps this warning may make UK buyers look into the products more before buying! However, an even better solution is for Amazon UK to insist any of their items sold on the UK site CLEARLY state the type of power plug fitted and the voltage required!

RobRob: I am going to share my long journey of hot glue gun research. Sounds weird, but working with paper and detailed paper models requires a decent glue gun. Iv'e tried quite a few so far.
The first gun was the Surebonder mini 195-F. I picked it for the small size and small tip. It did a good job, the stand was crappy and kept falling off, but it worked as good as I needed it to. I completed the head section of a project with no issues.
the problem with the stand on the mini, is it is plastic, and falls right off. This resulted in the gun falling off my desk, and breaking the tip, so now, i had to get a anew glue gun only weeks after purchasing. I was mad, so I ventured off to get another gun.
For my 2nd gun, I picked the Gorilla Glue hot glue gun. Never knew they made hot glue guns, but hey, their glue is great so what could go wrong?
I very quickly learned what makes a 'good hot glue gun'. The trigger was unpredictable, it clogged, back flowed, leaked, and heat was very inconsistent. It was garbage, and I returned it.
Next glue gun was the SureBonder DT-360F. When i received it, it was bigger than I expected (I intended to order a new mini). The tip...

LEONOR HERNANDEZ: I am extremely happy with this purchase!!! First of all the feel when handling this glue gun is, you know you have an above standard tool! My gun took 4 minutes to heat. The gun has a lighted Power On feature. I have read some reviews that say it took too long to heat. But I think if you first turn it on in the High heat setting, then after the 4 or 5 minutes to pre heat, you switch it to Low heat. You will get better results and will jump into those much anticipated wonderful things that you can do with a highly efficient tool that allows you to work in low temperature as well, if your projects call for such. The 1/2 hr Auto Shut Off is a plus, this means I won't be burning out the heating element as occurs when we crafters over heat our guns while not in use and is a safety feature while it remains plugged. One squeeze of the trigger and lights are back on. You will need to preheat again, I'm guessing overheating is the reason why I have replaced so many guns. The stand is pretty sturdy, but I prefer using the Surebonder 6500 N Glue Gun Stand with Non Stick Glue Pad to catch any dribbles. This glue gun doesn't dribble like the others do, so it reduced the constant demand to...

WeatherGeek: This does what it is supposed to do. My main observation is that it does take several minutes to get up to temperature. Otherwise have been happy with the purchase. Have used it to quick set commercial base trim (on outside corners) to give time for regular cove adhesive to cure.
