Christina Coates: The answer is yes!! The is a great bug zapper. It's about a 16" tall and hangs like a lantern or sits atop a table. The UV light comes right on once the unit is plugged in. You can hang it or have it sit on a table or the floor. When it zaps....you will hear it. It zaps the bugs good and proper and I haven't had any mosquitos or flies bugging me at all. I use mine indoors but will be buying a few more of these for my deck. Your money will be well spent on this product. It is light weight and super portable. If it's a long ways to the nearest outlet then you will have to buy an extension cord but even that expense of a extension cord will make it worth the extra expense if you don't have one already in your home.

Works as it should, ours is outside the door we let our dogs out of. Not sure why they advertise this inside in locations I wouldn't want the noise or light but whatever... Blue light and zaps bugs. Works as it should for us.
