This little monster keeps the surface water clean. It's been 6+ months and my anemones are doing great. Water parameters are perfect! I would recommend and repurchase if necessary.

Lisa Houser: I needed a good quality skimmer for a 120gal tank (hard to find!). But this really does a good job. My only "complaint" (and thus the drop of 1 Star) would be that I think they skimped FAR too much on the little cheapo filter it comes with. I'm going to buy a separate, think, quality sheet and cut the pieces to the right size, I would recommend the same.

Crystal Bencic: Out of the box it looks really cheap, and I didn’t have much hope, but I was wrong. After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned as my tank has a lip. I was able to position it in a way that it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I personally don’t mind that the suction clips being so hard to put in as they’re really stable and won’t come off. They are strong, and the unit has not moved since I installed it. I don’t think it took even an hour before the top of my tank was crystal clear. The outflow provides good circulation, but is a little strong. I had to make a little alteration in my 20 gallon aquarium as it was blowing everything including my fish around. I didn’t use the aeration tube and knob as it was filling my aquarium with bubbles. I have it running without that part and it’s lovely. My only concern is I had a guppy fry in my tank and I found one inside the filter chamber. I thought they were big enough that they wouldn’t fit in, but they did. That’s not on the manufacturer, that’s on my missed judgment. unless the floater is too high, it is quiet. So if you’re hearing it, you may need to adjust the height. I will be buying one for each...

John: This skimmer is absolutely bad azz, seriously. I did see the little video for it here on its amazon page but when you plug 'er in, and it starts blowing, it is really cool and surprised me. It is quite a small unit, 2x2x~8 Inches with a bit of adjustment. The top piece where the water comes in floats so you get 1-2 inches of water height play. I am really happy because I wanted to buy a small air pump for my tank but now I don't need to. Of course it also works perfectly to clean the top water of my 32.5 gallon Fluval Flex. I had a nice oil slick appear about a month ago so I looked up skimmers and they are pretty expensive usually. The Fluval one I wanted was $150ish an Eheim one is around 40 50 on amazon and it looks a bit off. Then I found this bad boy for $29. Are you kidding me? The value here, when I could have spent $150 on that Fluval, is just crazy. Awesome! Awesome deal!

I don’t know if mine is defective. But you can’t adjust the flow. The knob doesn’t change a thing.

Flow is weak and barely does a thing. Might slightly help in a micro tank.

UPDATED Review:
I removed the tee adapter for the air bubbler and this thing now works 100x better. There still isn’t any adjustment with the knob. But it’s on a 55 gal and full is fine.
If you want this to skim then don’t use the tee adapter and it will skim well. If you want this to add oxygen to your tank then use the adapter. If you want it to do both, don’t bother…

Note: if you have a trimmed tank. Don’t over fill it with water. Otherwise the float will hit the trim and stop the skimmer from working properly. I’m having to 3D print an offset mount.

Biannca Saumure: The media could not be loaded.  Tres bonne qualité, mais le jet d'eau est très fort. Je ne recommende pas pour un betta a moins de bloquer le jet avec une roche ou quelque chose comme ça. Le skimmer marche bien et garde la surface très propre. Facile à nettoyer.

Dustin.GDustin.G: CHECK EDIT BELOW OP : fits easily in the overflow area in the rear sump part of the tank. I also don't have to take the whole thing out to change the pads(I use two pads, I cut myself from a sheet of filter floss). I just pull the top up and grab the pads with come tongs and cut and put the new ones in, then throw the top on. super simple and in the back I don't ever see it, so it does a great job as well and doing the job unseen. for a reef enthusiast this is pretty great as we like things to be showy and look clean and proper in our tanks. haven't had anything noise issues and this tank with the unit is on my kitchen counter. so if it was noisey I would know right away. flow is good and is adjustable. although i advise not to put in in your main tank area because of the bubbles which there was alot of and made my corals very unhappy. so i stuck it in the back and never had issues from then on. if you are looking for the smallest protein skimmer you can find that actually works well and checks all the boxes then this is or you.. BUT anything larger than 15 gals reef tank then look else where because it will need changing every other day in a bigger system. currently changing...
