Frédéric Léveillée: I use this at home to cut the grass at the front and back of my bungalow. I already had two batteries, but I only had to use the second one once for 5 minutes because my grass was way too long. Most of the time we use 50% to 75% of a single battery if we don't skip a week of mowing. This mower is quiet, efficient, has multiple height adjustments to choose from that can be changed easily. The grass bag is easy to empty as well, super convenient - no regrets.

Falcon1620Falcon1620: I know your probably looking around for a new mower, and your thinking... Is this one really worth it? Does it cut well? Is it really easier? Yes, this mower is super light weight, I can push it around with one hand, you won't even miss the self propelled feature of the heavy gas mower. Its battery life is awesome, I had a really dense thick overgrown yard, and it did bog a little, but it cut it nicely in two passes, no sweat. My neighbors mower died, and she asked to borrow mine, so I put it to the test over there after I finished up, and it handled the seeding grass easily as well in the front yard. She said she didn't even hear me out front cutting it, and asked to borrow it for the back. She wanted the link after she was done, so I think its a winner for me and my neighbor as well. Can't beat the price. I figured I'd pick up a Snapper (one of my favorites) HicVac if I didn't like this one, but to be honest, this one really won me over these few times I've used it so far. I'd say that it does a really super job and its sooo easy. I mean you just pop the battery in and go. All I can say is that two people have asked me about it, and two people now have asked for the link to pick...

Reedly Bottomtooth: Amazon lumps together reviews and ratings for similar products into one umbrella review for many products, so just to be clear, I'm writing a review for the Sun Joe iON16LM 40 V 16-Inch Cordless Lawn Mower with Brushless Motor.
This mower is small. But in a way that makes it even better. Not as a wide of a cut, sure, but the thing is so light and easy to use it's a tradeoff I'm happy to make. It's so light and easy to use that I was fairly sure it would have trouble with front yard. I've got weed grass up there. That is to say, I've never planted grass up there. But the clover and wild grass that grows up there, when kept up, looks just as good as grass. The problem with it is that if I don't mow it for a couple weeks it can grow in really thick and some areas get to be a foot high, especially when it rains. That was the current condition of my front yard when I got this thing. I started with my backyard, about 40'x40', and regular run of the mill grass. I was immediately impressed with how low I could set this thing to. My old mower, in spite of having 6 settings on it, didn't have any settings for lower than a couple inches. I don't know exactly how low it could go, all i...

Daniel WeisgerberDaniel Weisgerber: I bought this lawn mower because I bought the chordless Snow Joe snow blower last year and was happy with it. I was worried about the power but I haven’t had a problem. It can even chew up sticks like it’s hungry. I can do my full lawn, just over an hour, while on the same battery. By the end was down to 1/3 battery lights. Only cons I knew about before I bought it were no mulching, and I’m losing the self propel and about 6” off the cut size from my gas mower. The no mulching and size doesn’t bother me and it’s light enough that I can easiy push it even with one hand without the help of self propelling. The height settings seems to not leave much room for option. There are 6 settings but 1-4 seems to cut too low. I have been using setting 5 which is about normal for what I normally cut but I can only go up one more notch from there, if I need to. I have now done my lawn 3 times and so far my only real complaint is the foam on the handle at the top. After only 3 uses, the edges have started to rip apart. Does anybody else have the same problem? I will include pictures. I would rate 5/5 but the foam covered handle coming apart forces me to rate it 4/5. Still a great...

AI Reviews: I purchased the Core Tool (without the 4amp-hour battery/charger) because I also bought the Snow Joe iON21SB-Pro snow blower and am using its compatible 5 amp-hour battery.
I have about 1,600 sq/ft of lawn to mow and it works well. I've already used it twice since receiving it and my 5 amp-hour battery still displays a full charge.
The cordless factor is so convenient. It reduces mowing time and makes mowing easier by eliminating cord management with every pass as well as eliminating the accidental disconnections in the middle of a pass.
It also runs more quietly than I expected.
There are some flaws which prevent this from getting a 5-star rating:
1. It doesn't mulch (if you're one of those people who prefer mulching to bagging).
2. The bag is too small.
3. In addition to being too small, the bag is poorly designed such that you are guaranteed to spill some clippings when you remove it from the mower to empty its contents.
4. The body of the mower is subject to a small amount of flexion or torsion so that if you happen to lift and jerk it while mowing to move it out of a tight spot, or change its course, you will hear (and feel) the...

John H: I had mixed feeling about buying this, after having a negative experience with another product from the same brand. I have the battery operated snow blower, and really wanted to have two appliances that use the same battery model. Three cuts in, so far so good.
I was about to mow my entire lawn on one battery charge, which took about 50 minutes of run time. This is really important to note! Battery operated units from some other brands give you ~50 minutes spread across TWO batteries (~2Ah), which means you're stuck looking like an idiot switching batteries part way through your chore. With this unit, you're going the full mile on one battery (4Ah). You can buy additional batteries if you cough up the dough.
The small output bin fills up *fast*. My old mower would only mulch in place, which I like, so I had no experience with the bin. I have to empty it 4 times during my mow, which I don't like. I haven't found a good way to run without the bag either -- grass piles up in the underside and leaves giant clumps of grass anywhere you turn.
Pros:
- Awesome battery life compared to competition
- Can use the battery for the snow blowing appliance too
-...

A mazon: This is a very useful mower for certain purposes. If you mow frequently and do not let grass grow too much and if you do not care about mulching this is your mower. If you are intending to collect the clippings, you should know that the bag is too small and it requires frequent emptying. And did I say it does not mulch? Even at the highest setting (position 6) mulching is not efficient. It leaves the clippings behind, which is OK for frequent mower.
Another issue is shorter setting of the mower literally razes the grass of the soil. I am not sure who would use such a close shave. By mistake I pushed the mower for 3-4 feet at setting 3 and I am still waiting grass to grow at that spot. Other than setting 5 and 6, I do not see any practical use for other heights.
Also be aware that this is not a heavy duty mower. Wheels are hollow plastic as well as most of the body.
On the pro side, even my 6 year older can push this mower, it looks nice and it cuts really nicely. The battery lasts 35-40 minutes and recharges reasonably quickly (about 3 hours of recharge time).
Overall, this mower is not for everyone but definitely it has its uses.

StephenDM: Performs really well. Excellent power and duration for a battery unit: works like a corded unit without the hassle. Capacitor failed after one month of use, but immediate customer response, great communication and no hassle warranty replacement.
