Jenn: This backpack was the perfect size for my 40lb 4 year old. It holds her goodies for school but doesn’t hang down to her knees like the bigger bags do. It has great pockets and great straps with comfortable padding. The pockets on the side hold a water bottle well. The color is so cute and sort of gives off sprinkle vibes. She loves it!

calico27: I am writing this review a little too early! It has only been 2 weeks of school, and the bag is doing fine - holding up well. But then again - just 2 weeks! Hope I remember to come back and update it if it falls apart.

This is for a first grade girl, in NYC school system. It is large enough to fit everything she needs for school. The bag holds its shape and doesn't slump down in a heap (which is always my personal pet peeve, don't think my daughter cares). She's also an Avengers fan, so it worked out well. The colors and print are exactly as shown in the picture - and I think it looks very pretty. Straps are comfortable, daughter loves the sternum strap, though she has loosened it to a point where it is not useful, but her bag isn't that heavy to warrant it (they don't need to carry the chromebooks back and forth).

Bottomline, I like it. And for $40 I hope it lasts a few years.
