Consumer: Thumbs up for Fit Viva. I've had the ankle weights with the removable bars, and they shifted around too much and chafed my skin. I've had the weights with the single velcro strap, and they never got tight enough on my ankles. These seem like the perfect solution for me. I can get them as tight as I want, so they don't shift around, and the fine sand molds to my bones for a snug fit. Important to note that I've only had them 2 days. If they stay like this for as long as I own them, I don't think I could ask for better. I do wish they had a five pound version - I would have ordered that if they had it. I'm using these for PT following a broken leg, so I can put both on the leg I'm exercising if I want to. Nice side benefit: attractive, unobtrusive design and color.

Renee C.: While doing physical therapy, the therapist advised I do 3 reps of 10 each by putting 3 lb weights around my ankles and while standing, then lifting my legs, one by one, to the side, and slowly back down. After my official therapy sessions were over, I continued the exercise at home with these weights. They fasten easily with Velcro so you can adjust for the dimension of your ankles and they stay on. It is now part of my at-home therapy to keep my legs, hips, and knees in the best shape possible. Recommended.

Crystal: I looked for so long to find a comfortable, simple pair of heavier ankle weights. I appreciated all the positive reviews, they helped me make a decision (it took me forever to actually find these on a search). The reviews are correct- these are awesome! Well made, able to fit any size given the length of the velcro. Stitching is done properly so they will last and the price is reasonable! I am so pleased!

Thomas M. Sipos: I walk about an hour a day wearing these on my wrists, swinging my arms. It's not too hard or painful, but I do work up a sweat. After the first day, I felt some mild soreness in my arms, but that's now gone away. My arm muscles feel more toned after only about a week.

My stomach also seems a bit smaller.

An unexpected side benefit is that these weights improve my posture. I notice that I'm naturally sitting or standing up straight more often. "Naturally," as in not thinking about it. It just feels normal not to slouch.

These weights will tone muscles, lessen weight, and improve posture.

Don't expect miracles. This is not serious weight training. But it's a fairly easy, low impact way of seeing some small, but noticeable, improvements.
