Mark from Mississauga: Took about 30 minutes to find some studs and install it.
Super solid!

BrianBrian: I’ve checked out a few other ab/dip stations online and took a gamble on this one...and I’m glad I did. I preferred a wall-mounted product to save floor space in my basement home gym. I mounted it into a poured concrete wall using some 3/8 x 4” lags with shields. I broke one of the included lags so I purchased some higher grade ones for this project. I’m confident that the included lag bolts would be sufficient for mounting into wood studs, but I went with some stronger ones for concrete mounting. The whole thing feels sturdy and well-built. After trying out a few leg raises and dips, I tested it by doing some weighted dips with a 45 lb bumper plate (see attached pics). I’m 5’10”, 205 lbs and I feel confident that this thing could easily hold 300 lbs. I’m very satisfied so far, and my wife is too as she uses it for ab work. Strongly recommended.

MLML: I decided against buying a floor standing dip station with pull-up bar. Those things are huge. Instead, I bought this station and installed a pull-up bar above it. It's perfect. It takes up no floor space and looks great in my workout room. Most importantly, it works. The angle is perfect for leg raises and back support, and the dip handles are money. I couldn't be happier with it.

Will: well built. decent padding, good stitching. should last a long time.

Mark R: Impressive construction, it is what I was expecting. The installation went smoothly, I had no issues with the lag bolts fitting the holes in the frame, which I read might be an issue. The back pad is slightly off center, which is more of an aesthetic problem than a functional one.

I am 180 lbs, the unit does not flex down at all while I perform dips - zero flexing. This is the most impressive feature for me. It is comfortable to perform leg raises, works as expected.

Overall, I'm very satisfied & got what I was looking for - a high quality dip/leg raise unit that doesn't have a large footprint.

Amazon Customer: The top 2 lag bolts are to big and won't go through the mounting holes on the frame. Had to buy smaller lag bolts for the top. Other then that not a bad item for the price.

Jeff KackleyJeff Kackley: I don't have the room for gym equipment in my house so I needed something I could put in my unfinished storage room that takes minimal space. The instructions and hardware it came with were to mount it on a framed wall but it worked out great on a concrete wall with a bit of work. I ended up buying two 3/8"x5" wedge anchors for the top bar. Had to drill the holes on the frame to be slightly larger than the original 5/16" but I couldn't find wedge anchors in 5/16" and wanted the extra strength that wedge anchors provide. Then I used two tapcon 3/16"x4" fasteners for the support bracket with a stack of washer between the bracket and wall to make up for uneven surface. Go slow with the tapcon and don't use a ratchet or you'll snap the head off the screw like I did. After everything was said and done it's incredibly sturdy, doesn't move or creak at all and feels solid. I'm actually even missing a screw on the support bracket since I snapped the head off and can't get it out, but it's still extremely solid. The unit is well built, the pads are made well and it feels right to use. It's great to not take up floor space.

Stretch65: I just finished installing this dip station. If some one else had installed this, and I came in to inspect it when the installation was finished, I would give this product 5 stars: nice sturdy material, solidly attached to the wall- this thing is never coming off the wall, and I weigh 205.

BUT....I did perform the installation, and therein lies the rub: (i) the bracket that bolts to the wall has only two holes in it to receive the bolts, EVEN THOUGH the instructions (such as they were) clearly state FOUR bolts to attach the bracket, AND there were four lag bolts included with the hardware, so, rather than go through the hassle of dealing with the company, getting a new part shipped, and so forth, I have both the tools and the skill to drill four new holes in the bracket (the holes it came with were centered across the width of the bracket, so I drilled two new holes above and below the original hole on each side)- if you aren't prepared to deal with this, you may have to deal with the hassle; (ii) the instructions COMPLETELY omit any mention of a key part, the angled support bracket that runs from under the arm piece to the wall, EVEN THOUGH the part is clearly shown in the...

JonnySconny: I recently purchased two products that were made by Ultimate Body Press. This dip station and their wall mounted pull up bar.

These units are solid and attach firmly to wall studs with large lag bolts. I was a little skeptical being wall units but after mounting them to the wall and getting the units cranked down tight to the sheetrock they appear to hold very well.

However, despite the quality of the station the arm rests for this unit do no align to the holes on the unit. They are 7/8" off. I've sent a message to the company to see if they can help me out. I DO NOT want to have to take this unit down and ship it back. That'd be a pain. I also fear attaching the new unit to the same place on the wall studs as it may not be as secure. I'd probably want to move the unit to ensure a firm attachment.

I'll post a response if and when I hear back from Ultimate Body Press.

UPDATE: As I mentioned above I used the Ultimate Body Press web online form to post a message for assistance. Within 24 hours a customer service representative replied to my message stating he had overnighted replacement arm rests for the unit. The form asks for an email and home address....
