MichelleMichelle: The Bad:
1. The foam doesn’t do much good. You will want to reinforce the areas that you grasp or wear gloves because it’s definitely not comfortable.
2. It squeaks and rocks a little bit when you use it. The bolts are tight and all pieces are installed, but it’s not the sturdiest.
3. Regarding #1, because of the lack of foam you can’t rest on your elbows and do ab workouts very well.
4. You can’t buy other accessories for it, so you can’t grow with the machine. You’ll have to abandon it for a new machine once you learn more exercises and become more capable.
tl;dr you’ll outgrow this machine and it’s not very comfortable
The Good:
1. It was less than $105 shipped
2. It allows you to do the basic workouts on a machine like this.
3. Compact and easily moved.
4. It’s not intimidating. Because of how basic it is, you’re limited to a few exercises. That’s great for those of us just starting out that don’t know how to use a machine. Once you learn more you’ll want a more capable machine.
tl;dr great beginner option, affordable, capable, you can learn on it.

Kathleen: Product arrived on time and undamaged. The base material is pretty thick and solid metal but the supports and uprights are a bit in the light and thin side. Some of the screws and holes were a bit fiddley to line up and attach the bits. The plastic guides for the uprights, which attach the two pieces, were a bit warped and came out of place when adjusting the height. One side broke but, there was a spare in the shipping box (it’s like they knew...). The rubber paddle style feet keep the rig fairly stable and level on my concrete floor of my basement.
The sponge grip material feels weird and too squishy for my taste and tore in places within the first few sets of pull-ups. I would have preferred the same material as on the dip handles and lower pegs for push-ups; these are firm and grippy.
I’m 5’7” and 140 lbs and this rig moves and shakes around whenever I do pull-ups. Also, when doing pull-up I am constantly banging my knees and thighs on the middle stabilizer bar and my shins on the horizontal lower stabilizer bars without a fair bit of concentration to avoid this. The “padded”back stabilizer is pretty useless and uncomfortable if you want to do...

J. Shilling: I purchased this for a family member. It arrived today at their house and I put it together in less than 2 hours. It would have taken less time but I did not read all of the directions ahead of time and had to redo some of it to add the parts I missed the first time. It is fairly easy to construct but you really need to read all of the instructions before starting and keep referring to them to make sure it is done according to the directions. For example, I put a higher crossbar on before the middle one and then couldn't get the middle one attached. So I had to remove the higher one and then the middle went in easily.
The instructions warn to NOT tighten anything until the very end, and then start from the bottom and work up. This is perhaps the most important part of putting this unit together. It must be done this way to ensure it is level and sturdy when using the device. As the nuts and bolts are tightened, they should be done a little at a time and make sure they are all the same tightness. I just tried to leave the same amount of thread sticking out of the nuts on all of the connections. When I got done it was perfectly level and very stable.
By the way, my 6-year-old...

Adam: It was easy to assemble and is sturdy considering I removed the lower stability bar. I kept hitting my knees on it when doing pull ups. I’m 6’2” 185 so that can be an issue if you’re taller. It’s a good size but doesn’t take up a lot of space which is nice. Definitely a good addition to the home gym for a good price.
