Jobelle: And sturdy! I can feel when someone goes on the bottom bunk very obviously, and if they move a lot, I get bothered and can't sleep, but luckily I sleep during the day so nobody is wiggling down there when I'm trying to rest. Good product. I love the angled ladder - it feels safer and I'll hit my shins before my feet slip through the gaps.

Quigz: Pros:
-Solid wood construction
-Affordable price
-Nice style/design
-Versatile (convertible to 2 twin bedframes)
Cons:
-Slats are too weak
-Angled ladder can create a tripping hazard (depending on orientation in the room)
-Missing plugs/covers for the screw holes
Based on some of the other reviews, I purchased this bedframe (on sale) with the expectation that I would have to add extra support for the slats. My solution was to install custom-fit plywood sheets to place over the slats. The plywood serves dual purposes in preventing mattress sag (between the slats) and it disperses the weight on the bed, preventing damage to the individual slats. With the plywood installed, I find the frame to be quite sturdy.
Future plans:
1) Custom-build a vertical ladder to use in place of the angled one. The vertical ladder will eliminate the tripping hazard and free up a bit of space in the room.
2) Install plugs/covers over the exposed screw holes to improve the appearance of the bed.
All things considered, I'm quite happy with my purchase. I'd definitely recommend installing plywood (or bunkie boards) over the slats to strengthen it though!

Prodge: Very impressed. Bought for our growing family and by far the best bang for your buck out there. Even now I am lying in the bottom bunk with my son (200lbs + 35 lbs) and the max is reccomended 225lbs.
Easy to follow insttuctions but be warned takes at least a half day if not longer if the room is small.
The slats are the weakest point. At 200 lbs they bow out when I lay on the bed. Don't allow a full adult to jump on it and it should be fine. I would suggest cutting a 1/4" slab of plywood to reinforce it but again for kids it should be fine.
It looks great for the price and is far sturdier than any particle board crap out there.

Debbie10864: I have been using these as single beds. I wanted a bunk but my kids aren’t ready for it. The quality is excellent and the look is nice. Lots of support for the mattress. I give it 4 because the rail for the top bunk isn’t very high with a Sealy standard mattress. If you have a thin mattress the rail would provide safety however for a thicker one (and I venture to say the new standard size of mattress) I would never use this as a top bunk. If we do eventually put up the bunk I will need to have someone add another rail or figure out an option to make it safer so the child doesn’t roll over it.

zoey.fritz: I purchased this bed with great hesitancy after reading several reviews on Amazon, Walmart, and other stores that sell these. First, they are priced way higher at Toys-R-Us, and about the same at Walmart. I got these for my 5 year old twin boys. I looked at a lot of different beds, but really wanted this one because of it's size and price. My sons' room has an unavoidable drop in the ceiling down to 7 feet - there is nowhere to place a bunk bed without the ceiling drop being involved somehow. This was the only one I think I could find that was 60inches - which is also good, because I am 62 inches, and I can decorate the bed more easily. I also purchased the Amazon recommended mattresses with this bed (Signature Sleep Essentials 8inch and 6inch).
I decided I was going to completely re-do my sons' bedroom for their new 'big boy' room. I was so excited! I ordered the bunk bed on Friday January 30, 2015. I am a Prime member, and I know that the bed can take an extra few days for processing. I was patient. On February 2, I received an email saying the package had shipped, and would arrive by Friday February 6. Yay! I went and got all their new bedding, paint, wall decorations, some...

Tibs: For the quality and craftsmanship, the price was worth it.
It looks great. My nephew loved it. I would recommend it to a friend.
Build Time: approximately 3 hours with two people.
Tools Required: phillips screwdriver and an allen wrench. The allen wrench is provided, but it is slow and hard to use on some pieces. If you have an adjustable electric driver and some allen bits, you could probably reduce the build time to 2 or even 1.5 hours.
Pros -
[1] - Includes allen key
[2] - Fairly easy to build with decent instructions
[3] - Sturdy with good quality materials
[4] - The wood stain was evenly spread, it covered the boards on all visible edges and I didn't notice any globs or thin spots. Better then more expensive furniture I have bought in the past.
[5] - There are a decent number of slats, they are strapped together, and you screw them into the base. As long as your kid isn't using the bed as a trampoline, you probably don't need a base board. Please judge this based on your own kids rambunctiousness. I would also consider weight factor, a base board might be a good idea if multiple kids will be sleeping on the same bed.

Ross Whitaker: I bought this for our 9 year old and 4 year old. They LOVE it. The instructions were easy to read, and the bed was pretty easy to assemble. I would suggest a power drill or impact driver to get it put together, just to save time. The allen wrench method is time consuming and sucks. Once we got the bed together, which took about 2 hours, we placed it in it's final spot. I've laid in it a couple of times, and it's held me fine. The ladder to get to the top bunk is a little narrow to me. The bed is very sturdy, but I would advise to check the bolts after a few weeks just to make sure nothing has backed out. We love this bed, and for the price I don't think it can be beat.
