Evangeline: It gave me the information I needed for turkeys, I'm a first time turkey raiser. I liked the chapters on health, it had a different way, and easier way to trim spurs without cutting. I haven't read up on some of the other birds but I plan to because I have ducks, chickens and quail. I also read up on some other birds I don't have but would like to and it gave me much needed information that is needed before you start buying the birds. This is a great book to read before you start with any farm birds.

Sweet bee farms: It took me a week to read it from cover to cover it’s only about like 300 pages and spilts sections up coherently. Very detailed for a book about multiple species of poultry, I never lived on a farm until now and I am confident I can raise the geese, chickens and ducks I bought this book to teach me.

Jeremy: I appreciate every bit of help I've received from this book, very informative, gives information and beyond with a humanitarian aspect that I appreciate, there is however one book I would add to this book and its simple forgive my lack of period commas and the like,,, my book is simple and newish, and has to do with the housing of your addition, repurposing,I built my chicken house with pallet wood I did buy some 4x4 to set the building and some quite for their yard and nails, insulation was old egg cartons, point is there are supplied out there that are free and plausible to create that you wish to create,, my chicken are happy my coop is rustic and I'm living urban so I made it in a way that I remove a few screws and I take it with me if I move

Missouri Farm Life: I really like the style of this author's writing. The book is very easy to read and follow, has so much great information. Details are most pertinent for raising different types of poultry - not a bunch of junk to bog down reading. I also agree with this author's point of view regarding the environment and responsibility to the animals we raise for food - this point of view is apparent, without being distracting. Author is not trying to push political agenda - just really common sense farming and livestock practices. Book has side stories and vignettes that add to the enjoyment. You can pick up this book and start reading anywhere, but you will wind up reading the whole book and coming back for reference. Great book for reference/library for any poultry raiser.

Wolf Song: Met our expectations and then some. We enjoy all the Storey's Guides that we have purchased to date. They are simplistic yet detailled. The combination of all the "Storey's" poultry books have ensured we have a sustainable family poultry business :) We now raise peafowl, pheasants, turkey's, 11 varieties of heritage breed chickens and 2 types of hybrids. Thanks to these guides we will also try raising quail this year :)
