Robert Ayres: These will really help you when you get caught with a flat tire.

MCL: While I do not recommend speeding, especially with a tire plug, it slipped my mind and I took mine up to 100mph briefly and had no issues. I plugged a rear tire and it's been holding for the past month or so. Not a single drop in PSI. This kit is VERY easy to use too. The gun is the key to how easy this is. If I had to rate it 1/4 start down, it would be that the instructions say to use lube for the tip of the gun (so it's easier to get into the hole) but they do not include any. I did this at home, so I had access to some shinetsu grease. Pretty sure it can be done w/o grease, but may just be a bit harder to insert. In any event, you can just do what I did and put some grease in a small baggy and put it in the kit and you'll be good to go if doing this on the side of the road.

Carmen Madison: I buy my son plenty of tools because they are what he wants. This is a good buy and has plenty of materials to repair tires. I couldn’t pass this one.

nlitend1: Used to repair right on the edge of the tread on our 17 Ford Edge with 19" rims.
Tire shops don't like or refuse to repair a tire unless the hole is with in the tread area. Our tire got a screw just on the side of the tread. A refusal was in our future. I had a tire plugged on my truck 2 weeks ago, cost $38 to have it fixed.
Decided to give this a try. And it worked. First plug I tried did not insert because I have wiped away the lube on the end of plug trying to insert into tool with my finger. My mistake. Used the insert tool to push it into the plunger as said by instructions. Duh. You must have the lube! Lesson learned. Anyways I followed the instructions and had our tire fixed in less than 5 minutes. Well worth the cost of this kit. It's paid for with 2 flat fixes, saved us buying a new tire. Tested for leaks. None.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. So easy to use.

Herbert Tan: It could be a life saver and could save lot of time in dealing with a nail puncture on tire. very easy to use, make sure the oily liquid on the plug is there when insetting into the tool, it help lubricate the plug for going through tool and also seal the plug in place.
Initially you probably losing 5 psi for the first day, due to very slow leakage, so make sure you pump the tire again, (keep a tire pump ready in the car) But after driving for 100 miles the leakage seem slow down a lot like 1 psi for 2 days, but after 1 week and 200 miles, slow leakage appears to stop completely.
One important finding is the plug in tire seems very well secured, I pull 2 plugs out by force just to find out, the head of the plug actually broken a little from pulling out from the tire, once pull out please do not reuse the plug. Also keep a small plier handy inside the case.
It appears to me that it is a very well engineered product, the hardness and compressibility of the plug, the type of lubrication and the design and methodology are all working in harmony, I love this product, it added extra driving security for my car when I venture out.
Please learn how to install the plug ahead,...

PB: I live on a ranch. Tractor, utv, 4 wheeler, trailers...LOTS of tires...and they all get flats! This works very well at plugging the hole and not leaking. I’ve had some plugs in for over a year with no issues. Not sure I would do that on my truck but for farm equipment it’s awesome. Would be a great temporary fix for a car and might work well but I would probably get a new tire. It’s easy to use...for the most part, less than a half hour and it’s ready to fill back up. I have done a few car/truck tires with it and it works fine...once you get the hole cleared. Getting the little rasp they give you through a steel belt is not fun. I bought a rat tail file...same diameter and it works great, little more leverage goes a long way. Would definitely buy again

Sparky John: I bought one 10 years ago and I am still using it. This year I bought a second car so I bought a second kit.

You need to add a pair of pliers for pulling the nail/screw out from the tire.

I also added a 4.5 mm hand drill for enlarging the hole as the nozzle is made of mild steel, too soft. The reamer supplied is too small and painful to use. If you wiggle the nozzle in too hard, the nozzle can be damaged. Especially for RunFlat Tire, the tire wall is hard and thick, there are steel wires sandwiched in the rubber, it's very hard to get the nozzle in. Having said that the slightly damaged nozzle from the first kit is still working after I polished it and started using hole enlarging tool.

If the manufacturer can make the nozzle with harder materials and the reamer slightly larger with a bigger handle, the kit will be perfect.

I used the second kit and found it could not squeeze the mushroom plug out. After comparing with the 1st kit, I have discovered that the 2nd nozzle inside has a smaller size. Make sure you check your kit on arrival to see you are able to squeeze out a mushroom plug otherwise you may get stranded on the roadside by this kit.

david mennell: i haven't used it yet... thank god. but the kit seems very solid and i can see no reason why it wouldn't work great. the gun feels very sturdy... like a sherman tank i have use the manual tire plugs and nothing could be worse than that.

Techie-Daddy - All Real and Honest Reviews: I am one of those people whose tires seem to be screw and nail magnets. This is a Huge Improvement upon the old Rasp/Awl/String Plug System. I was using the Victor Tire Repair Kit - Heavy Duty with T-Handle and Strips to fix my tires for a couple of years now. While they were supposed to be temporary (mostly likely deemed temporary for liability reasons), I had all my repairs outlast the life of the tire. Forget the $25 Plug, Patch and Balance at your local tire shop whenever you get a nail. I've used to have my tires "professionally" repaired until I needed one re-done.

This Gun/Plug Mushroom design is much easier to use and doesn't require you to make the hole much bigger, unlike the old style plug and cord systems. Make sure you watch the videos on Youtube which clearly show how easy it works. This will pay for itself in two repairs and coupled with a heavy duty portable air compressor like the Viair 88P, you'll never worry about being stranded hundreds of kilometers with only the dinky spare tire.

Comes in a nice padded heavy duty plastic storage container. This is built to last for years to come.
