wallace: This set has fixed quite a few tires, and is a really good quality product. This is my second set to leave at our country property to fix the occasional flats on the mowers and such we have there. Just remember to get a tube of rubber cement from the auto parts store to complete the set.

Gary R.: Purchased in case of its need for emergency use on a trip to Alaska. Found a screw in rear tire of pickup truck, causing a small leak, when in a small town on a Saturday night. No tire service available and we needed to depart with our trailer on Sunday. I talked to the campground owner about the situation. He had owned a tire store for many years before buying the campground. He looked over this repair kit and said it was a good kit. He used the kit and plugged the tire without removing it from the truck. The plug has since been in the tire for 7000 miles and has not leaked at all. I'm glad I spent a little extra money for this kit. It did the job.

abusinc: Shortly after buying this I realized I already owned a repair kit. I had it in the lock box of my jeep. My intention was to return this one. I ordered this because I had a screw in a tire (33X12.50 MT's) that was causing a slow leak. It seems like a good idea to have a repair kit anyway for possible issues off road. The one that I already owned turned out to be junk. The reamer bent and it simply wouldn't push into the tire to open the hole for the plug. I decided to try this one and it worked flawlessly...better in every way. A couple minutes later my tire was plugged, trimmed, and inflated to proper PSI. That was a week and many miles ago and the repair is perfect. Excellent product! Comes with everything you need. It is now a permanent part of the recovery gear for my jeep. Thank you.

CarlV: More and more modern cars don't come with "donuts," much less full size spare tires. I got this to throw in the trunk of our new car just in case we get a repairable puncture while on a road trip. We've been in some places where cell service was non-existent and/or an emergency roadside service provider gave us an ETA of hours. As long as your puncture is on the tire's tread face and you can pull out the offending object with pliers you should be able to repair it with this kit. The case itself is small and the whole thing is lightweight; it won't take up much room in your trunk.

Pair this with a decent 12VDC portable air compressor and you should have some peace of mind while on a trip.

Do watch out for some extra material (flashing) on the handles! I picked up one of them and instantly got a metal splinter in my finger. I ended up taking some fine sandpaper to clean off the handles of any more sharp spots. I knocked off 1 star because of this.

Tony: Used this kit to patch/plug a nail hole in my tire. My summer tires are on their last leg, so my regular tire shop refused to repair it and instead told me to buy new tires. I am planning on buying new summer tires next summer but needed these to last through the end of this summer.

I purchased this kit and was able to repair the tire in about 15 minutes, including removing and re-mounting the wheel. Kit was super easy to use and included everything I needed.

The nail in my tire was very small, so the hole left behind after the nail was removed was too small to fit the probe tool in. I used a drill and a bit smaller than the probe tool to open it up, then used the probe tool.

It's been 48 hours since I fixed the tire and have driven almost 200 miles without issue or air loss.

Highly recommend this kit!

Tazman: Ordered this for my car as it does not come with a spare. It arrived with a critical part missing. It was missing the retaining platform that is critical for correctly inserting the plug material. It was also missing lubricant in the container. I will be returning it.

Guy: Product is incomplete and not as shown in photographs. Lubricant container is empty and Insertion tool is missing the retaining platform/ring. Product description also lists 2 spare valve caps, but is shipped and shown with 2 spare valves.

john: well first off you have to have your own pliers to pull the object from tire and there was no lubricant in the plastic container but other than that worked fine for me. where I live there is no shop in town which will plug a tire for you, they want to sell you a brand new tire. So if you have a 3 or4 hundred dollar brand new tire with a screw or something in it they want to sell you another tire. So this is a great bargain.
