Sterilite 1 Gallon Pitcher with Blue Atoll Lid - Perfect for Storing and Pouring Drinks

T. Hav: I have bought 4 of these in the past, with a lid that’s blue with a green “button” you press to open it. I keep buying them because I like that the handle is very sturdy when you pour and they fit in the fridge nicely. This latest purchase of 2, with a solid teal lid, is superior. I think they fixed both lid fitment and tweaked the plastic material as these lids go on easier and seem more malleable. While I would prefer a solid white lid, I am glad that the lid is at least a solid color now. All the way around, nice improvements on an already good product.

Beth: The only thing I didn’t like about this was that on the top of it, it had a rounded piece of plastic that closes it. This was very hard to put back on after I removed it. Removing it was hard to do when I got it so I took it off and I don’t use it.

C. Kargher: I’ve had one of these for ages. The lid finally got loose and it was a tad leaky. Could not find a new one in a store. Didn’t like the other options. This pitcher is perfect! Fits well in the fridge, and does not leak when you shake it. Highly recommend.

55847552114555584755211455: I started drinking iced tea to replace soda. I found Lipton Gallon Tea Bags that I love. (See my other reviews for info). I bought 2 different glass pitchers because I prefer glass (mainly for taste purity) and I also wanted to be able to add the hot water to the glass (special tempered glass for heat) and brew in the container. However, I ran into problems. The glass containers were heavy. And they were not big enough, they were not a gallon. A gallon glass container would be too heavy to comfortably pour. And I was wasting tea bag strength by using less than a gallon to brew. My search continued.

So I went back to the drawing board and looked at a dozen plastic pitchers, read all the reviews and did all the research. I search for what Southern Sweet Tea aficionados use.

My requirements were this:

- Must be 1 gallon in size so as to work with my 1 gallon Lipton iced tea bag
- Must not be abnormally wide or take up unnecessary space in the fridge
- Must be easy to pour
- Must not have BPA or Phthalates or other plastics that leech chemicals
- Must be made in the USA
- Must be good quality and durable
- Prefer dishwasher safe although I intend...

The Nihilest: First one I got is okay. The opening on the lid is crap that falls out of its grooves every single time it's used so it's been thrown out. Ordered a second pitcher and got sent one half this size(with a label on it saying it's the full size).
