JAMick34JAMick34: As the weather began to warm, I found myself in the market for some outside toys for my toddler. I thought a playhouse will be fun. We have now been using it exclusively outside for the last few months. It has brought great joy to my daughter and to her friends. I think we will have many years of use with it!

Things I really like:

- Ease of putting it together

- The doorbell! How adorable and fun! I think this is my daughter's favorite feature.

- The movable shutters that have openings on the top and in the middle, allowing for little hands to maneuver them.

- The height of the roof. This house has accommodated children up to 5 years old. It may also work for older/taller kids, but I haven't tried that yet.

- The grill that is open to both those in the house and those not in the house. It's a great way to get some use out of this without actually being inside.

- The clock and fireplace sticker decals. They make the cottage look so cozy, homey, and inviting. Super cute!

- It is lightweight, so it is easy to drag around the yard if we want to move it to another spot. But because we keep it on the grass, we always be sure to put...

DiBoo: This was a 3rd birthday surprise for my granddaughter. First thing she noticed was the doorbell and that was when we realized all we would have had to do is buy her a doorbell!! She also called her friends on the phone that is on the wall and invited them over. The windows which are like shutters open and close easily along with the door. The mailbox is cute, but she was so enthralled with it, that her parents went out and bought a larger mailbox that would sit outside the house. The slot on the house is small and only allows a small envelope which came with the cottage to go in. The cottage is small enough that it fits in her playroom, but large enough that she has 2 or 3 of her cousins inside with her.
My only issue with it (and why I gave 4 stars and not 5), is the "sink area" that is attached and not a built-in. Because it looks like a seat, a child is going to sit on it and because of no support under it, it bends and probably would have eventually broke off. At my granddaughter's request, her parents removed the "sink". Since she wasn't allowed to sit on it and she didn't use it as a sink, it was just taking up space in there that she wanted to use.

Sofia: This product is really good for the price. But I do advise you to shop around for the best price, since while I was looking for little houses of this style, the prices fluctuated a lot from day to day and also from store to store. When I purchased this, Amazon had the best price overall and had Prime shipping, making it the best option for me, but ToysRUs and Walmart both offer this and other cottages for similar and some times even better prices.

The size of the product was something that I was slightly concerned about, my son is tall for his age (33" at his 12 month check up) and we are expecting our second one, so I was hoping I could get a little play house that later on he could share with his sister, but also one that he could walk into without him having to be crouching. Luckily this little house is a really good size, specially for the price, since these type of products increase in price A LOT based on the size. As soon as I bought it he could walk in the door and had a good couple inches from the door frame to his head. Also the roof is a lot taller than the door frame, so even if he had to duck to walk in he will be able to fit inside standing up for a couple...
