SUrrutia: I never thought I'd get excited about bookends, but wow, these are awesome. Super solid, non-slip rubber pads along the entire base, strong enough to hold up 12 inch tall, heavy books with ease, all at a super budget price. They don't bend or flex, I have complete confidence that they're going to hold up my books.

Blair C: Good quality bookends, not very decorative but do what I intended to do with them, place inside the first few pages of the end books so they are not visible but still hold up the books.

wannabe perfectionist 💬wannabe perfectionist 💬: Not all bookends are created equal... and apparently the size does matter after all... at least when it comes to bookends that is :)

I have all sorts of soft and hard cover books and binders in different sizes on my bookshelf. I did have couple of bookends lying around at home so I used them but they kept sliding and falling to the side with all the books having a domino effects so I needed to find bookends that are strong enough to hold them in place and this bookend is perfect for the job!

They are 9" tall, which is apparently tall enough to hold my binders and heavy hard cover books in place without slipping.
Not only they look great aesthetically but they are also extremely sturdy with a non skid padded bottom, which also prevents scratching up the bookcase or table surfaces.

These come in a pair so you will get 2 bookends for each order.
Stop searching for bookends and buy these. You will not regret it.

So far, I have purchased the Silver, and Vibrant Red, and today, I purchased the Cobalt Blue color!

David Bridges: Pros: Classic, functional, non-decorative, inexpensive bookends. Sturdy, tall enough for large format art books (most similar bookends are not), and packaged in pairs so you can make a bookshelf out of any flat surface.

Con: You'll need to run your finger around all the edges to find any rough or sharp spots and sand them down with fine-grit paper, otherwise your books are going to get scratched. This is a minor issue, provided you know about it, but is why I rate these 4 stars not 5. I made the mistake of not checking first, damaging a $50 book, and I don't want you to do the same. (I bought 10 pairs and they all needed some attention.)

trishaatrishaa: In looking for simple but sturdy bookends, I ran across these very strong steel sets. The small table I wanted to use the bookends on was not large enough for fancy decorative ends and I wanted to be able to get several books between the ends. These Steelmaster 9" bookends are so perfect for my use and I initially purchased two sets but am planning on ordering several other sets. My house is piled high with books and I like to display as many as I can and these will allow me to place them anywhere.

The tongue that slides under the books is long and will nicely slip over the opposite end if I am wanting a shorter stack of books between the ends. The cobalt blue powder coating is shiny and beautiful and suits my décor perfectly. They have a non scratch bottom that stays put which is exactly what bookends require.

Roses, of course: I bought these specifically to hold up nine 3-ring binders of financial records that I keep in the compartment of a large secretary's desk. The binders are of varying width and weight, but several are very large and heavy. These bookends work very well for that purpose. The non-skid bottoms keep the metal from marring the desk surface. The extra long feet combined with the high book holders keep the set of binders upright and in place as I pull them for use. They are not fancy, but the metal is a nicely finished shiny gray and they are well-constructed with good symmetric cuts and no sharp edges. There have been no scratches or dings to either the desk or the bookends during daily use since I received them several weeks ago.
