Our exercise space has a thick squishy carpet, and this does not wobble or move at all on it when they are using it. Great addition to our home gym.

RDT: The BEST POWER TOWER sold on Amazon. I am 6'3" tall and 190#. This is a very solid heavy-duty piece of gym equipment that does not bend, flex or move when used. After two months I snugged up all the nuts & bolts and a very minor squeak disappeared. I ordered a second pair of dip handles from the manufacturer that I keep in the lowest position for doing deep pushups and double as a "step" for my GF to reach the upper bar. I added a heavy flat resistance band at the top-center bar as an (foot) assist for doing slow pullups focused on technique. I added small felt pads at the rub point of the dip handles (see another's review with pics). This tower has become part of both my PUSH and PULL day exercises. It gets used a lot. It is a great value to a home gym. Spend the money, especially of you're my height or weight. It is tall, so it might not fit in a basement with low ceilings. Measure first.

Me: Well made and sturdy. I bought this one mainly because of the bicep curl section in the pull-up bar (which many towers don't have) and the easy adjustable push up bar changes. The back rest pad for doing leg raises supports your lower back well, better than the one at my gym.
This isn't some flimsy light weight tower, unassembled in the box it is well over 90 pounds, and the box is nearly the height of the tower in length. So be prepared when it gets delivered.

Unknown: Overall the structure of this equipment is impressive. It is sturdy and stable. The only flaw is the chin-up bar is strong enough to support a 30 lb toddler. I am 270 lbs and pretty much bent the chin-up bar not even using my full body weight. I removed it and currently do chin-ups on the bar that you attach the chin up bar to. Its a wide grip but if you tape the bar, and wear gloves chin-ups can be executed. They should provide a smaller grip chin-up bar attachment for heavier individuals, so they have an option to install it if the original bar that is included can not support their weight. When I contacted Marcy you have to pay 5$ to speak to someone which is B.S.

John from Denver: I don't normally leave reviews but I'm so impressed with this thing. It's powder coated steel, super solid, easy to assemble, nice looking, doesn't wobble and is high enough and sturdy enough for a guy like me who is 6' 4", 215lb. I bought it for my son, who was using a door mounted pullup bar and ruining all our door frames. I'd been searching around for something like this and I'm so glad I bought this one.
I put it together by myself. It took me an hour or two, but was kind of fun. The directions were clear and the only tool I used besides the included allen wrenches was a socket wrench.
The pull-up bar is just in reach for me so I don't need to bend my knees much on pull-ups. If you're not so tall, you might need a step stool to grab the bar because I don't think you can lower it. The pull-up bar has 3 grips, so you can do different types of pullups. Then there's leg lift contraption, which is great! My wife uses it for leg lifts. And the dip bars are there for people who can do dips.
I can't tell you now sturdy this is. You kind of expect something like this to wobble a bit, especially when you're as big as me, but it doesn't move. It's rock solid. And if...

Dale Brown: Purchased in Dec 2020. Speaking to some of the issues / concerns raised by previous reviewers. I'll also compare it to my Apex (Canadian Tire branded) power tower which is the same as the Marcy power tower with flip up arms and also compare this to my Northern Lights dip/push up station.
1) Mine came with the thin bar for band work that sits below the pull up bar
2) Tighten only when it says to. Note the problem of alignment posted by VK Oct 2020 re the side plates not aligning. If you look at their picture you see the main post bolts tightened down. I made the same mistake. Don't tighten until the side plates are mounted and bolts put through all the holes on both sides and nuts hand tightened. Then tighten everything and viola, no alignment issues and a noticeable rigidity improvement.
3) Shipping. Ordered the 1st and received the 9th, a day before scheduled.
4) Packaging. No concerns. I'll assume packaging has improved because everything was hermetically sealed tight. The small parts, nuts and bolts, were not only vacuum sealed but also wrapped in another strong plastic package. Nothing was getting out. The box was smartly packaged, lots of packing and...

Jairus Weber: Very stable for the price point. I've bought others this year for half the price and this definitely work the the extra $250 to get something that will last. Sold thick steel frames. Almost seams like professional gym equipment caliber.

George J.: This was not the cheapest Power Tower but I wanted to be sure it was stable and so far so good.
Assembly: Best to have two people when assembling the tower portion. Posts are about 8' long and though not super heavy are a bit awkward. Some reviews complained about the packaging and instructions. No problem here. All parts were present and assembly took like 60 - 90 minutes. Also, unless you're a strong person don't move the box alone.
Stability: For the basic exercises I notice only a slight bit of movement but no fear of it falling over. If you mount a TRX or pull on the unit laterally it may move or if you are heavy enough it could tip. I am thinking to either place some weights on the back or screw to the concrete, though probably not needed if you stick with the basic pull-ups, dips, and knee raises.
Exercises: Very good for what it is designed to support. I added some resistance bands and with some care it adapted well. I learned quickly that pull-ups sure aren't as "easy" as they may look so have some work to do.
Location: Once assembled it's slightly awkward to move as the base has long legs. However, you can pick it up by the forearm mounts to move into place....

VKVK: I probably would’ve given this a 5 star rating BUT ... it appears the holes of the frame and the plate (to add sturdiness to the joint), did not line up properly. 4 bolts couldn’t be installed to lock the plate down. Shame. Everything was going well up until that point. I think it’ll fine without them but, I get irritated when I find parts don’t mesh well together.
