Tony Nguyen: I'm an urban biker and need a mirror to see approaching cars from behind. I've had a bad experience with a bike mirror before that was impossible to see. It would vibrate like crazy even on a smooth, flat surface. After reading the positive reviews on this product, I decided to give the Third Eye mirror a shot and I am VERY HAPPY that I did! This mirror is stable and clear as can be. I can ACTUALLY use it and I absolutely love it! I love the fact the mirror integrates into the end of the handle bar, giving the bike a sleek, compact, and discrete look. The mirror itself is very light. This mirror requires that you have an open bar, so slight cutting of the handle gripe may be needed. I just needed to pop the end cap off my handle, so no cutting was necessary for my bike. I was able to fit this to my mountain bike handle bar with no problems. I dabbed a bit of vaseline around the rubber mounts (2 cylindrical shape rubber with a square nut on the end) and shoved them into the bar with relative ease. It would have been a lot harder if I did not lube them up. When turning the mirror clockwise to tighten it into the bar, I was careful to hold the plastic...

Keith M:
Third time (Third Eye?)'s a charm! My first two bar-end mirrors (from other manufacturers) moved around when I hit a bump. The first broke when my bike fell over (not surprising for a bar-end mirror), and I bought a similar product (Wingman) at the LBS to replace it. I liked the size and shape of the Wingman, but, like my first mirror, it just moved around too much when the trail was less than smooth. Those plastic ball-in-socket mounts allow for easy adjustment, but just don't cut it when you're out on the road.
I finally got to take a spin today with the Third Eye, and it's as good or better than the other reviewers say! No movement at all. The convex lens gives a GREAT view of what's catching up to you. Mounting was a breeze. Just insert in the bar end and spin until it's tight. I also put two of these on my cruiser bike. I had to finagle them a little to get them to grab, but once they did, they tightened up just as well as the one on my mountain bike.
Pros: Price. Size. Convex lens. Easy to install. Stable!!
Cons: None that I've encountered so far.

Linda J: I would have given this 5 stars if it were not for the lack of instructions. I contacted customer service at Third Eye (only option is email) but I did receive a reply w/in the hour...from a real person who's customer service skills were so good that I decided to give it the 4 stars instead of the 3 I was going to rate it. By the time I got the reply I had figured the thing out from a picture on a competitor's website. The mirror is pre-assembled when packaged but often comes apart during shipping. The 2 large rubber pieces are supposed to slide over the screw. You then secure the whole thing w/the enclosed nut (be careful when opening package..the nut came flying out that I didn't know was there because of lack of instructions or list of what's included..i saw the nut on the competitor's site..it was a miracle I found it). Then screw clockwise into handlebar end. I was told by Shela at customer service not to screw it in too tight (needed info that should be included w/absent instructions) or the mirror could crack (I torqued mine so much that I bent the screw but was able to straighten it out). Shela also recommended locktite so it doesn't come apart. ...

SAHMoChubbies: This is my second mirror made by this company. Loved the first one, but one of the kids (or my husband) dropped the bicycle on its side and busted It off. Not the company's fault at all. It functioned very well. It was tight yet movable and was VERY easy to install. It was also MADE in the USA!! Highly recommend!
