Bradymac : I’m still alive. Is this proof they work? Maybe. All I know is they’re packaged well, thoughtfully individually packed as well. Bonus carabiner so you can hand them on your belt or pack for easy access. Will buy more if I live long enough

NM RANCHER:
OK, "Emergency Blanket"... good enough idea on it's own, but I have found several ways to utilize this product beyond it's intended use. Handy in many situations, and for my purposes, having several in my pack, or "go bag" has become an essential item. Together with a roll of waterproof duct tape and some plastic "packing tape" I have been able to to improve my outdoor experience....a couple of these blankets make a very good sun shade and "rain fly" for a lightweight backpack tent (just a handful of plastic beads wrapped into the the corners and along the length, and bingo!, an easy way to attach paracord tie downs and with some tape to unite 2 blankets at the ridgeline, you have a great tent fly...also, you have the choice of reflective side out, or in my case, the camoflage side out depending on which way you want to reflect heat...good seasonal option)...All at a fraction of the weight of a nylon tarp, and much more waterproof. Also, makes a good "ground tarp" for smaller tents, and in my experience, has proven tough enough to withstand puncture from needles, rocks, and sticks.
Additionally, these can be used to create sun and rain protection when...

J. Nguyen: We brought these on our backpacking trip and used them to line the bottom of the inside of our tent to hopefully keep some of the cool ground further away from us. Couldn't really say if it worked or not, because we didn't take them off and compare an evening with or without them. But with two kids climbing in teh tent, it probably also helped protect the tent. We never used them as a blanket around us. Probably won't unless we have to because they are load and crinkly and not at all like a blanket. We were so excited how compact they where. We could take all four blankets for the trip and it took such little space and weighed almost nothing. But it was completely impossible to pack those blankets back into their little bags. Each bag ended up being at least double the size when we tried to put them away.

Austin: Got these for Christmas from the wife. Will be nice to have these in the car in case of any emergencies. You never know what could happen out there. These come in a handy little carrying case to keep all four blankets together, and each blanket comes in its own little baggie with a draw-string.
