Nathan Griffiths: Surface finish and build quality seem to live up to Starrett's reputation. Product feels solid and well built. I had a chance to test it today, ran at 600 RPM, worked flawlessly. The tip kicked out right on target as expected. Comes with a small plastic case. The shank diameter is slightly over 3/8 at .3752'' That said, I had no problem inserting it into a 3/8 collet on the Bridgeport. Tip diameter is dead on .200'' There isn't much to say about edge finders, they either work well, or they don't. I am completely satisfied with the product. Slightly more expensive than some other brands, but I feel the quality is worth the few extra bucks. Proper care and this should last a long time. I also hear they are easily repaired with some generic springs and a paperclip if the need arises. I Would definitely recommend this to a friend.
