4) Spielfrei, wertig verarbeitet, schnitthaltig - you get what you pay for.
Ich würde es mir wieder kaufen.

Matt J: This review will compare Kershaw Junk Yard Dog 2.2 with the Spyderco Resilience Black G-10 PlainEdge Knife. I have pictures of these 2 knives side by side but I can't figure out how to upload them to Amazon.
Both of these knives are big. The Resilience is really big, maybe a bit too big for me because I couldn't deploy the blade in one single fluid motion, it has been a 2-step process where I get it half open, adjust my grip slightly, then lock it open. This might just be my and the size / geometry of my hand/thumb. The JYD has the flipper which is used a flick of you wrist. The blade is deployed quickly, smoothly, and with an authoritative and satisfying "chock" sound. Awesome. Having no thumb-stud / thumb-hole was weird at first, but after a couple of days, I don't miss them, especially with how well the flipper does its job. You get a sense of the craftsmanship and engineering when you feel the action of opening either of these. From a utilitarian / practical point of view, I'd give the advantage to Spyderco. I say this because with the JYD rapid deployment, it is possible the the JYD will fly out of your hand when locking open due to the blades inertia. From a coolness...

xBLAKSUNZx: I'm a collector of knives mostly of the "big and beefy" variety. I love a big strong knife that carries as well as a smaller knife more suited towards EDC. I believe if a big blade is well balanced and carries well enough in the pocket that they can be just as comfortable as knives half their weight.
I bought this and a Tenacious at the same time and they are my first spyderco knives (I'm a Kershaw/Zero Tolerance guy). I love them. Well built considering their low price point and Chinese origins. The attention to detail is there even if others would disagree. No, this knife is not of the same quality as my $120+ ZT knives nor do I expect them to be...but for the VALUE you are getting from this blade its hard to argue with it.
The deployment is fast! The big blade creates a lot of inertia which cause it to fly out of the handle when you want yet has enough detent when closed to keep it from coming open in your pocket. The bushings allow for slick, smooth operation of the blade. The spydie hole is great. Its great for lefties and righties, spydie drops, and I did the zip tie mod and it waves as well as my Spartan and Rajah II.
Tip up, tip down, left hand, right...
