captainsparrow: I am a big fan of Spyderco knives. The quality of the blades is excellent, and they are relatively cheap. I own 3 Spyderco knives (Centofante 3, Delica, and Endura), and this knife is the lowest quality of the three. It also happens to be the nicest looking of the three. I have owned this knife for over two years now, and this is what I have found.
Pros:
1. Good blade quality. I have found that it holds an edge well, but it is a little hard to sharpen.
2. Beautiful design. This is one fancy-looking knife.
Cons:
1. The thumb grip on the top of the blade is VERY aggressive. I carry tip down, so if I have to reach into my pocket to get anything other than the knife, it can scrape my hand.
2. The grip is slick. The ergonomic angle of the handle is good, but the grip is pretty slick.
3. Rivets instead of screws. This goes back to quality. I find that the screws are better because if anything gets loose, it can be tightened back up.
4. The spider logo falls off. This did not happen overnight, but over about a year and a half of wearing the knife (mostly with dress clothes) the logo fell off. It was just glued in a recess of the handle.

RobAngel: Despite mixed reviews and less of a discount than what you can find on most other Spyderco knives--such as best sellers like Endura4 and Salt Series (there's probably a reason for that, namely collectors/demand)I took a chance. I've always liked Centofante designed knives and this one delivers. It has very good quality steel that arrived extremely sharp. It's almost cliche, but yes, it easily shaved hair off my arm. It arrived much sharper than the Spyderco Native did, which besides not arriving as sharp, seems over rated compared to this less expensive (and foreign made) knife.
Unlike the Native, which loses a half inch of it's already shorter blade to it's choil, I like how the Centofante's blade edge is almost continuous from handle to tip and has an effective choil that won't abrade my pants pockets. The blade locks up very tight--you have to really pull on it hard to get a wee bit of wiggle and that occurs only if I'm not holding the handle real tight (don't try that at home, kids) and as a result, the liner lock in the very light weight handle is allowed to flex. That's not likely to happen in 'real world' usage and I think it's an inevitable trade off, due to the...

Dan Keener: I've had this knife for a couple months now, and I absolutely love it. For the role it tries to fill, I would dare to say it is close to being the perfect knife. It combines the great materials, great workmanship, and awesome functionality characteristic of Spyderco, with a truly beautiful and intelligent design by Frank Centofante.
It is a pretty significant blade, at +3 inches, and gorgeously designed. But at 2mm thickness, with FRN handle and no steel liner locks, it is LIGHT. Folded, it is a bit longer than some comparable knives (thanks to that 3"+), but its width profile is pretty small, so it really fits nicely in the pocket without getting in the way (though mine came with the clip oriented for tip-down carry, and if you carry it in your pocket that way you're likely to run into the gimping behind the thumb hole a lot. I changed mine to tip-up, which is far more natural for me anyway, but for that you'll need a little torxx screwdriver -- buy one cheap at home depot, for some reason they're a ripoff on amazon). Anyway, the thin hollow-grind blade is simply awesome for a variety of cutting chores (that thinness makes it a great slicer), and it's great steel - VG10 -...

Mark, The Florida Cracker: It's lightweight, the edge is almost the complete blade length, handle stays in your hand without a thought, and usually when I pull it out to use, a few people want to look at it. Don't let them though, they will try to walk off "forgetting" they hadn't given it back.
Seriously though, it is everything Spyderco says it is and more. Mine is a little uneven on the top grinds for the false edge, but not enough to bother me at all. Love em.
