Elizabeth Clark: I was so impressed with how much support this beam has when walking on it and doing tricks. We have purchased beams in the past that didn't give my daughter the support she needed to do handstands, back walk overs, cartwheels. They were just to squishy. The foam support in this beam is fantastic! I as a parent walked on it and jumped on it and I barley made a dent in the foam almost like a real solid beam. My daughter and her friends play for HOURS on this beam and her 13ft tumble mat she got for her birthday this year. This is a VERY GOOD BEAM!

Rayna: Great beam for a beginner to intermediate gymnast. Not sure how well it would handle someone with advanced skills due to the foam core. It is nice and sturdy doesn't flex or give when you walk or tumble. We have used it for a week straight every day so fair so good. I have had an adult working skills and basic tumble no problem. One thing I wish they could fix and why I didn't give 5 stars, is because of the way it folds. It should have Velcro on the middle where it folds. So when the two pieces touch it becomes more sturdy and finds itself in a straight line. Because of th fold, when you flip it out straight it flexes to the left or right and doesn't lay directly in a straight line. If your tumbling is off a hair it moves the beam offset on one end or the other. I like the material. It's light weight and is a great asset for practice at home or fearful students in the gym. I am a gymnastics instructor and believe it's worth the buy due to the thick core and relative sturdiness to it. My only real comparison is a wood floor beam and a foam beam (that feels like the material of a pool noodle.) So in comparison this is a great place to start.

Lynda Michaud: It is not as wide as a regulation beam.

teri bennett: The media could not be loaded.  This beam is perfect for safely practicing advanced skills at home! Super impressed with how well it’s made, how sturdy yet light weight it is, and how quickly my daughter had confidence in this beam supporting her without slipping or tipping! We have a regular wood beam for practice that she doesn’t use as much because it’s difficult to get it perfectly situated so it doesn’t rock without someone holding it. The Springee beam allows for her to get lots of reps with harder skills without needing an adult to watch or help. I also feel that she won’t outgrow this beam. She is 10 years old and competing back handspring step-outs and will not practice them on her wood beam without someone holding it steady. Since receiving her Springee beam two days ago she has done so many without having to wait for help. The extra firm foam does not give...

Llebnyr: Daughter loves this beam

C.S.C.S.: We bought this beam for our daughter who is a competitive USAG gymnast. She is working on higher level beam skills like her front walkover aerial, cartwheel aerial, and back stepout. I chose this product because as a gymnastics coach, I noticed right away that a coach and level 10 gymnast designed this beam. That told me that this product was designed by someone who understood that feel and safety were imperative in design for someone who wants to take these skills to a higher beam. I love that the suede covering and the width of the beam are similar to the high beam she competes on and the foam is high density meaning it supports her landing foot without collapsing. She is 10 years old and right around 70 pounds and while the beam does slightly “dip” at the sides with focal pressure (such as when doing pirouette handstands or if she lands slightly off center, this is minimal compared to other foam beams I’ve seen. Let’s be real, it’s foam, not wood. I view the “dips” as a positive as it encourages her to land directly on center. She easily sticks cartwheels, front walkovers, back walkovers, split jumps and full turns on this beam so it is...

KristinKristin: We got the tan balance beam and our kids love it!

+ great quality

+ velcro keeps the center fold together tightly

Dislikes
- the only thing I can say is that over time it appears the material wrinkles towards the top. I don't know how to explain it... Basically right near the top where the beam compresses a bit as weight is placed on it, the material has a slight wrinkle I've been noticing. Doesn't show from afar and hard to show in photos.

The 9.5' balance beam folds in half, so it's not quite so large when we're stowing it away. It's also soft but firm and perfect for the kids.

We've only used it on carpet so far, but it has small grips on one side so I imagine it won't slip on smoother floors. There is also a small piece of velcro in the center where the beam folds. It stays together really well once it's laid out. For how much we've used it, the fold has never been a problem.

This is a fantastic balance beam for practice as home. We got the tan to appeal to both our boy and girl and they feels so special because it looks so professional.
