Bought this charger to replace one that almost melted the adapter cord. The Splitvolt uses heaver wire and works fine. After first use I recommend it.

How is it possible to buy Asurion 2 year warranty at the time of check out, but then when calling for a replacement Asurion says the charger ineligible for coverage.
So how many bogus warranties have been sold? If no one has an issue then they get free money. If someone calls with an issue, they claim it’s ineligible and offer to refund $30. What a scam!
I’m trying to work with Splitvolt directly to get a replacement since mine stopped working after 31 days.

I needed a home charger and didn't want to pay to have a tesla one hardwired to my home as it can get costly. I was looking for a level 2 charger that can fit my dryer plug and found this one. This works great for my model 3 tesla and gives my 24amps at 240volts and about 26 miles per hour using my dryer outlet.
It does what it needs to do and hooking it up takes minutes and it very easy . I Highly recommend this charger for anyone looking to go the plug in route and the price was great compared to similar chargers out there .
It comes with a nice carry bag and a plastic holder to wrap your cable up when not in use.

I purchased this as a faster charging solution to use with my existing Dryer outlet. I also purchased the Splitvolt Splitter and the extension cord. My outlet is in the laundry room, which is on the other side of the garage (so some distance from where I park the 2021 Nissan Leaf). So far, it works great, I am getting a full 24amps and around 5.5kw charge time.
The quality of the Charger and the Splitter are top notch. I love the readout you get on the Splitvolt Splitter, it tells you exactly what's going on, and the amount of electricity you are pulling. It's also a good additional level of protection, as it has its own breaker and will not allow more than 24amps. I would highly recommend this along with the charger if you are using a standard dryer outlet with a max 30amps.
As expected, the Charger just works. You plug it in and the car starts charging. It has a few lights on it, power, charging and then a couple of Fault warning lights, but luckily I haven't tripped those yet. The cable is a little over 16'ft, which seem a bit shorter than others, but it works for my setup.
Another thing to note is that its IP rated: IP55. This basically...
