Jean F.: Pruning my privets is a job I dread every time I have to do it. These shears made the job easier because I could do large areas at a time without making a mess to clean up as I have when using an electric hedge clipper. Pruning is more precise as well.

A. A. Anonymous: Not that they don't work...but they don't work WELL. To be fair I'm not using them on topiary. I'm using them on all kinds of plants growing up around my house. Maybe on topiary they're magic. The blades are pressing close in the front but have a gap by the time you get to the back so snipping is better than cutting and long grasses and weeds sometimes just get folded over by the back have of the blades which are sharp enough, but a long way from samurai sword. Using them with the right pressure in the right places I suppose they'll do for the price.
