Megan: Easy to put together, even by my non-handy husband. It took him a couple hours and some swearing. My daughter loves it and we haven't had a problem with it at all. Bed board is very strong. I've jumped on it, my husband has jumped on it and our daughter continues to jump on it. We haven't had a single problem with it.

Kate: This is my first one star review. I wish I took the time to more carefully read the bad reviews instead of looking at the overall 3.5 stars. It is true this bed is really poorly made. It makes Ikea look high end in comparison. We also had 2 boards come with huge cracks down the center on the front side. We could already tell by the look of the particle board that this bed would now by the temporary bed until we get a new one. So thought o well lets put gorilla glue on the cracks it should maybe last until I go through the process of ordering replacement parts. We live in Los Angeles and it ships from Fl so takes awhile. Two drawers have already completely fallen apart and fell on my 5 year olds foot by just opening them. But worse the drawer corners and the rectangle knobs are both very sharp. My two little kids and husband have already sliced there shins on it. I have know idea why they would design a kids bed with sharp drawers and knobs that stick out. The idea of undoing it, buying a box, taking it to UPS and paying for shipping back for some credit is not worth just putting it out on the street for garbage. JHB: This bed is nice. Fit of the outer parts of the base could be a little better, but it's not *bad*.

Included hardware is good. The drawer pulls are very nice; my wife and daughter love them*. A bag of extra screws & dowel pins is included, which is a very nice touch - I didn't need any, but it's nice to have them available. The hardware is bagged separately for each parts group (3 packages for 3 drawers, 1 package for the base), but isn't marked as such, or clearly noted in the instructions.

Material quality isn't bad. It's all particleboard, as you should be expecting at this price point. The boards are straight & smooth, and the finish on the outer pieces is smooth & uniform. Letter codes for the pieces are ink-stamped on the interior surfaces or interior edges, not stickers.

Instructions....... Well, this is not a piece from the Swedish folks with the blue & yellow big-box stores. They are usable, and you'll figure it out, but they're not as clear-cut and "brainless" as the Swedes make their instructions. They are multi-lingual, for those who want/need that. I recommend reading through them a couple times, looking...

Alexis Schulman: Anyone saying this took their husbands 12 years to put it together, they were doing something else or you need a handier husband. I, the wife, put it together in just over 2 hours...by myself. And it's really nice and super sturdy! It's for a 4 year old, but her and my husband (260 lbs) snuggle on it to read a book just fine. The storage is great. Few words of advice is to check the parts very thoroughly before starting assembly. I read reviews and knew I'd have some broken pieces. Called the customer service number and got my 2 new pieces in 3 days. Also, I live in a 3rd floor apartment and this thing was HEAVY! Make sure someone is home to help the FedEx guy if there's stairs, otherwise I assure you you will have a lot more broken parts from his pure frustration. The handles are also pretty sharp. Something to consider to it's for a very young person who won't be mindful of that. Overall, great bed for the price though! Super cute! Easy assembly. Very happy with it.

L. Larson: Bed is heavy, two people are suggested to move into your house. Once in the door I cut open the box and carried the pcs upstairs one at a time. The bed does not take two people to assemble. It took me 45 mins to assemble the bed and another 45 to put the drawers together. We are going to replace the drawer handles, as they are funky looking.

I expect this bed to last the years we need it to, however it is NOT a piece of heirloom furniture.

L R Wasson: I got this bed and matching headboard for my 3 year old granddaughter. It's really nice! It's also very sturdy--as soon as it was assembled, she jumped on it like a trampoline. The drawers, coupled with the cubbies on the headboard, add lots of storage for her tiny bedroom. The bed and headboard have sparkly accents, which she loves. I think it looks as nice as the much pricier beds I looked at in furniture stores, and I think it will hold up just as well, also. The assembly took time, but wasn't difficult--I'd compare it to any piece of furniture from Sauder, IKEA, etc. I would recommend this bed to anyone who likes nice things but has a small budget!
