Magoo: Being a DJ/KJ, I have been asked over the years to set up home systems for friends and friends of friends. The Sony's have always been the most user friendly for a low learning curve. This was the first I have set up with the 7.2 in a large environment. They're still calling to thank me for getting them set up right, NOT how do I make this thing play!

Buggz: Great receiver, I love it!!! I originally bought a sony receiver way back in 1991, ( yes over 30 years ago) the past couple years it was slowly going out. With all the new technology I didn't know if they still made receivers. Yes, I found this one, after over 30 years with the old one, this one was great for me. The sound is absolutely fantastic. It was a bit expensive, but well worth the money..very satisfied with it. Bluetooth connect ability, hdmi connect ability. Also was still able to connect my old cd player and cassette deck (not that I need it with Bluetooth but it's there ,and connects perfectly) sound is superb and extremely satisfied I spent the money getting it. I highly recommend !!!!!

Zeker: I bought this product because it was very hard to manage my previous set up for sound output to my TV. I have a lot of gaming consoles and set top boxes, and it was becoming cumbersome to switch between them for sound output to my surroundsound system.

So far, this thing plays very well with all of my consoles . Previously I was not able to control the volume on my TV with the built-in remotes of my technology, but now everything seems to work well, and I can adjust the volume with almost any one of my controllers and remotes.

The Bluetooth settings also work very nicely with my phone and I love using it to play music through my surround sound system. It was very easy to set up.

My only complaint is that whenever you resume a video from pause, there seems to be like a three second delay before you hear sound. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s worth mentioning.

I would also recommend buying some kind of a magnetic air filter to put over the fan grills because it’s very easy for this to get dusty inside. It’s also a bit large, so be prepared for that.

Travis: I've been using this for a few years now and haven't felt the need to upgrade.

This is used mainly as my PC sound output with my second monitor receiving video. It is going from my GPU to the receiver with an HDMI cable. I thoroughly have been enjoying the sound reproduction. I don't have any problems other than some noise/distortion when running Multi-Stereo, even then it's a minor nuisance depending on what's being listened to. I would have liked the sampling rate to go higher but for the price it's fine at 24 bit 192khz. With Atmos enabled in Windows you don't get a choice of changing the sampling rate anyways.

Originally I wanted a 2 channel receiver but the price I got this for at the time was amazing compared to the 2 channel and other 7.2 units. The Dolby Atmos is wonderful to have, it adds a decent amount of immersion. Thankfully in Windows 10/11 you don't need to purchase anything to have Atmos running but depending on the source it's a bit of a pain to switch back and forth between Atmos and Stereo. Having Atmos, or anything above 2.1, enabled and listening to stereo sources will run only the fronts and sub with no sound to the other speakers, but that's a...

Geovanny Lopez: SONIDO - tenia el STRK880 (hace 10 año lo compre) y quería algo mas actualizado, el salto en sonido fue poco, pero obviamente al tener Atmos y DTSX sientes diferencia, realice pruebas desde Netflix y el Atmos es muy bueno, pero cuando ves una pelicula desde un BR es diferente, el sonido es mucho mejor, cumple con lo requerido asi que le doy 10/10, para una sala normal tendrás potencia y calidad de sonido, mi sala es de 3.5 x 3.5 metros pequeña, estoy muy contento con el sonido

PARLANTES - como tenia los parlantes del STRK880 no me vi en la necesidad de comprar, solamente compre el Woofer ya que estaba dañado, mis parlantes no dicen de cuantos watts son, solo dicen 6 ohm, asi que funcionaron bien, configuré mi STR con parlante small y suenan súper bien, probé con parlante Large y suena horrible, es porque los parlantes son pequeños 10/10 porque acepto mis parlantes viejos

PRESENTACION - muy bonito, pero me hubiera gustado una mejor pantalla para ver mas información, pero es aceptable, te dice que audio estas recibiendo, 9/10

NETFLIX, HBO, DISNEY - si detecta Atmos, pero el sonido viene comprimido, la calidad es buena pero no vamos a comparar si ves...
