It perked him up so much Sheldon went & told his best friends Benny (bunny); Merle (squirrel); Nibbles (mouse); & Harry (skunk) what he had found.
All the other animals soon found out also & shared with their friends.
Little Clara knew it was hard work, but she continued to do what she knew was best for all.
It came time & the family had to move another baby was on the way.
Sheldon soon realized that Clara had moved.

Jade Hewlett: Kindness Rocks is a beautiful story about a young girl who writes some kind and encouraging phrases on some rocks and leaves them outside her home for everyone to see.
This is a really lovely idea for a book and it shows so well how much of a difference kind words can make. I think it is great that we get to see how the animals react to the rocks and that the little girl takes the time to make them each day even though she doesn't see their reactions. Perfect for getting children to think about how they can be kind and what kind things others do to make them happy.
The illustrations are lovely and it is nice to see the rocks as a focus as it helps us see and understand the effects they are having. Having animals as characters is fun and I think this is preferable to people for children as it is shown in a fun and lighthearted way but still relatable.
This is a fantastic book to show how kindness can improve your day and spread and it is even something children could start doing themselves, a great read!

gen3van: Lovely story about sharing the power of kindness. How something as simple as words on rocks inspired others to share .

Pip: A lovely story that will encourage children (and adults) to share kind words and decorated stones. I only wish it was easier to read all the messages in the illustrations. I was reading the ebook version, so it might be worth investing in the paperback.

Dwayne Hanel: Always a lesson for children in Sonica Ellis book I highly recommend them for all parents to read for their children. In this one the child will learn two lesson, first what kindness can do for every creature on this Earth, either as the giver or reciever. And second, how to play it foward, in kindness and all other good things in life. Wounderful illustrations in the book also. This gets five stars and if there were more than five available it would get all those too.

Leigh Ann Hughes: Clara is a girl who is inherently sweet. She collects rocks, then paints kind messages on them for any and all who pass to see. She shares love without a second thought.
When Sheldon the turtle passes, in a glum mood, Clara's rocks immediately cheer him up. Exactly what they're meant to do. He in turn shares with another animal friend, and that creates a chain reaction. Soon many animals are enjoying Clara's wonderful kindness rocks. There is obviously more to this story and more kindness to share, but I'll let you read it from Sonica herself.
Between Clara's unyielding compassion and Sheldon's continuation of caring, this book just exudes kindness from every page. If only everyone could be like these characters...
