Kirk: The mast is very flimsy and the threaded pieces are very weak. The head does not turn on the mast to follow the wind. Spent 2 hrs modifying the mast to have the head follow the wind direction. The butterfly wind vanes are very nicely done and colorful..

S. Martin: This butterfly spinner is very pretty to look at but the pole is thin and the offset tines in the base are super short, thin and prone to easily break when put into the ground if they encounter any resistance at all. Not very sturdy. The pole had flaked off finish at one joining point that was rusted and the threaded center posts for the butterfly attachments were all rusted. The decorative caps I received were not textured like in the Amazon photo ad but rather smooth. We don't get a lot of wind but the butterflies barely move when we do. It's certainly very pretty to look at but the quality is definitely NOT worth the price paid. At most this is worth about half the cost.

AngieAngie: The media could not be loaded. I love how beautiful these look! The assembly was easy, but had to be careful getting the stakes into the ground since I needed to penetrate turf, soil and rocks. Rather than pressing really hard on the stakes (which don't appear to be that sturdy), I used a screwdriver to make holes in the turf and ground before inserting stake. A few of the butterfly wings got bent during assembly, but they were easy to bend back into shape. I only used two of the three rods, as I didn't want them to be too tall. It's nice to have an option as to how high you make them. They usually spin very slowly, but when the wind picks up, they increase in speed. Not too bright at night, but the changing colors are pretty. I love that they're attractive both day and night and fit with my butterfly theme. Very happy with purchase.
