CMB: It's o.k. It will saw branches up to 1 1/2 inches thick, anything thicker and it binds...badly. The blade has a bit more give in it than I like, bends too easily. The mechanism for locking/releasing the blade is a little awkward to release and a little too easy to accidentally unlock while sawing.
Because of the brand name I expected a little better quality even though I did not pay top dollar for it. The little pruning saw that I had purchased years ago through Lee Valley Tools was definitely superior.

Eddi T.: This thing cuts great. I bought it for cutting roots while metal detecting and bottle digging. I’ve used it to saw through a 4 inch tree laying in my path with minimum effort. It is a great buy and well worth the money. Only downfall is the blade is thin and is prone to bending and possibly snapping. Just be careful with it and you should be fine. It is very lightweight, and handy.

neutrino: I bought this to be part of my emergency pack, so it is not expected to be used much, if at all.
It is small enough for easy packing. The construction looks cheap, but it does work well at least for light duty use.

Amazon Customer: It does exactly what its supposed to do. BUT, the blade is a wee bit flimsy. It bends like crazy. Knowing that though you can work around it. Great value for your money. SOG products stand up every time.

Amanda: Bought this for backpacking, and have used several times now. More useful than a hatchet and easy to operate and pack since it’s light and small. I would recommend this saw.
Update: I agree with another review that where the lock button is causes the blade to unlock during use if you are not careful. It cases the bald top extend past the 180 degree open - can be annoying.

G: En todos los años que pasas en contacto con la naturaleza (acampando, escalando, etc), vas adquiriendo artículos que te facilitan las cosas. Nuevas tecnologías y otras que casi no han cambiado con los años.
Me hubiera gustado haber descubierto esta sierra hace muchos años.!!!!!
En la montaña, nunca cortaría un árbol, solo uso madera del piso para mis necesidades (fuego principalmente), por lo que es muy raro utilizar un hacha, solo para ramas mas gruesas que mi brazo, es necesaria el hacha. Su sonido nunca me a gustado. Cuando lo escucho a lo lejos, pienso que puede ser un leñador clandestino o algún estupido destruyendo un árbol, por lo que aunque sea para ramas caídas, prefiero evitas su uso a menos que sea muy necesario.
La sierra es mucho mas discreta, la llevas en tu mochila sin ocupar gran espacio, es muy ligera, su sonido es mucho menos perturbador que el hacha y lo mejor, corta perfectamente bien. Es rápida, silenciosa y sus cortes son limpios, justo en donde lo quieras hacer.
En mi ultima salida de varios días, sustituyo por completa a mi hacha, la cual no la volveré a cargar para este tipo de actividades.
Un extra fue el precio que me parece...
