Tim Duxbury: For me this was an inexpensive fix to keep my 3-cushion couch from sliding around and marking up my floor. The grip isn’t perfect and the shape could be problematic depending on the size or shape or your couch but for a few bucks it’s a fine solution

Not soft but very hard plastic. I wasn't expecting these to be soft and pliable, but I did expect the edges that make contact with the floor, to be 'soft touch'.
I have tough, shiny fake wood laminate, so I'm not worried about damage, but if I had qood quality wood flooring, I would be concerned.
Sizing:
Very accurate internal measurement. Fitted my Ikea metal legs like a glove. My sofa legs had lost some of the rubber floor protectors, and these cups have brought the sofa legs to the same height. Worked perfectly for me.
Floor sliding:
as mentioned, I have laminate flooring which has created a very close contact between the two surfaces, resulting in no sliding. May be different on real wood with a more textures surface.
Durability:
I see no reason for them to not last well, as they fit perfectly. As the plastic is so hard, I guess, the only thing that could happen is that they crack under extended pressure.
We'll see.
