JJM Review: I needed to raise my desk three inches so I could keep my chair at its maximimum height and still be able to get my legs under the desk. My desk is very old and heavy, packed with files and office supplies. I have had trouble with risers breaking in the past, even risers for under a bed with weight distributed over six legs.

These particular risers are extremely impressive! They are structured to be able to hold a tremendous amount of weight, and at the same time, have rubber bottoms so that they have less chance to slide and less chance to scratch a wooden floor. The top of the riser is a surprise. It has a dense foam rubber layer to allow legs to "settle" into a depression, to help keep the legs from sliding around on top of the riser. Even more - There were two rectangular dense foam pieces (removable, if not needed) that could be used to hold a roller in place, like bed coaster wheels.

Pros:
