kimberly a federowiczkimberly a federowicz: Poor packaging caused damage to the vinyl during shipping. I’ve had a trifecta cover for seven years and it had served me well. It’s a shame that they cheapened the hold downs on the cover. I probably would have ordered another one because shipp damage happens but cheapen the product and charge more doesn’t work for me.

An Alberta customerAn Alberta customer: Had BAKFlip covers on previous trucks. The smooth look, lack of front bolts through cover, and cover over rear latch cable lead me to giving this a try.

The rear latch cable is too long so the latch does not retract on the passenger side.
The cover over the latch cable does not attach correctly and hangs down.
The driver side seal has minor cuts and damage.
The passenger side seal near one of the folds seems to have been glues while out of alignment. If it's not replaced I'm hoping the seals flatten out after a few more days in the sun.
It arrived with metal shavings present inside the seals and under the tape over the holes for hardware.

Can't poke a finger under the tailgate to open like my BAKs, which is a plus.
Cover needs a socket or wrench for removal, BAK is tool less with a pair of large star knobs.
The cover does not lock against the cab like the BAK, so there is more wind noise when driving in the open position.

A. Paradis: Haven't seen the increase in mileage that some have, although I did purchase soon after I got the truck, so I didn't have a lot to compare with. I can say this, though... I don't know if I could go back to not having one of these now! It is so handy to just hit the remote lock button and have my truck secured! I can carry tools or other things in the bed and don't have to worry about someone walking away with them.

I expected the claims of easy installation to be overstated, but they were right on... once I got used to it, five minutes is a slow install/removal time! So easy to put on and take off, and now I don't even lay it out flat since I see where it should sit on the front of the bed, I just lay it down, folded up and sinch the two front clamps down, unfold it and flip the back two on and I'm done. Normally about three minutes tops.

It is just high enough to fit over my fifth-wheel hitch, keeping it covered and clean when not in use. Wish the hitch was as easy to put in!!!

Update: I have had this for about two years and have really enjoyed being able to keep things safe and secure in the bed. It has been through snow, ice and quite a few automated car...

Paul Lanoy: This is my second Extang cover, previous one was a 6'4" For a Ram1500. Bought it in 2011, and still looks like new. The current one is the 5'7" version and like th first, a great tonneau cover. No problems, and great customer service when you have to contact the company for something.

Tim: When deciding on what tonneau cover to buy there were several things i kept in mind. Price,dependability, and overall quality. I have to say I almost bought a different cover for $230 until I really thought about it and my other tonneau cover I have I originally bought was from extang for my 2006 Ram 1500 and now is on my 2010 Ram 1500 the cover is 11 years old and the only thing thats wrong with it is that it has faded just a little bit from the sun beating on it. So I ended up looking at extangs website and found the trifecta 2.0 and ill tell you just from watching the videos extangs looks like it was built way better then the other guys so I said id rather go with a company i know i can trust that they make a high quality cover (due to my own personal experience) So i decided to pay a little more for this cover and im am very happy with it I rated it 4 stars due to where the cover folds there is a slight bulge on both sides and my hope is that they go away once the weather gets nicer. Other that that it is a great cover so far if i have any issues with it i will rate it again. if you are on the fence about this cover id reccomend you buy it. it was a breeze to install 10...
